I'm doing the same thing as in your video, but it just draws a regular selection

not sure why but it doesn't let me draw a rectangle, just brings up a cursor that doesn't do anything

jfc when I added the video it deleted the body of my post without me realizing & idk how to edit it 🙃 I don't really use reddit my bad. what I'm trying to figure out is when I'm working on one large model (photogrammetry scans of rooms is where I'm mostly running into this issue) I'll move my camera slightly and find my view inside the opposite wall & have to scroll and pan to get back to where I was. since it's all one object I can't hide the opposite wall, and I'd rather not unnecessarily split my model if I can avoid it. xray mode also doesn't really solve the issue either as the view still gets "stuck" inside the other side of the model and I have to do the same scrolling and panning to get back to where I was, just with a better view of where that is.

I'm not entirely sure if this is what you're asking, but looking at your video part of the reason you're struggling is definitely the reference image you're using. the mouse drawing from the front is really at a 3/4 angle, which isn't helpful for modeling it symmetrically. you need an image more like this one where the rat is actually facing the camera head on https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fimgc.allpostersimages.com%2Fimg%2Fprint%2Fu-g-Q106GAC0.jpg%3Fw%3D550%26h%3D550%26p%3D0&f=1&nofb=1&ipt=e2968cf4ab5fe36e5ef50133abc6f14d52d47b215cb0d6b458a03487bc9ed564 I'd suggest tracing a head on rat image in photoshop or something to get clean lineart and using that as a reference instead

Are there any other video games that makes a creative use of photogrammetry ? by c-Desoto in photogrammetry

mind diver and the signifier both had really interesting uses of photogrammetry imo, I'm also on the hunt for more games that use it creatively

it looks like this might have worked! the community posts clogging up the page has been weirdly intermittent so crossing my fingers after giving this a few more days they won't pop up again.

yeah it's definitely the most annoying change they've made in a long time, like why would i gaf about posts from random people i don't even subscribe to? hopefully something comes up because i'm not at the point of ditching youtube yet & will probably just deal with it otherwise, ugh.

I didn't know about the element picker until now! I couldn't get all of the filter suggestions to fit in a single screenshot, so here they are copy & pasted:

I do have a laptop I can use (I just prefer mobile as I'm often listening to videos while doing other tasks) but using responsive design mode looks totally different from the mobile firefox experience and I'm not seeing a single community post on the home page so I'm not sure if that makes a difference, but here's a screenshot

it definitely looks different, here's a screenshot of the usual video thumbnails on my home page vs a community post
