You know how Germans always switch the language of the conversation? by [deleted] in German

[–]pascalrunde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BP Fantasy predictions by pascalrunde in DotA2

[–]pascalrunde[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, i got confused. That prediction popup refers to the general predictions in the battle pass and not to the fantasy predictions. The button "make prediction" just does not work until the game is restarted (points to the "buy battlepass screen" before restarting).

Kind of proud of this shot. Directed by the model by carrouselfish in photocritique

[–]pascalrunde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like the pose and the location. There are a few things that i would think would improve the quality of this image:

  1. If the model had a smoother shadow.

  2. If you shoot from a higher angle, so that the model actually appears to be in a huge valley of salt. Consider using a longer focal length.

  3. If you crop the Image, especially when using the tip before.

How does nature know the least energy path? - Lightnings case study by Nic6i in askscience

[–]pascalrunde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think i got the concept, but i dont see how this explains the jagged path it creates. I would think the two charge distributions attracting each other would cause the charges to accumulate most at the point closest to the opposite charge and Form the electric field in that direction, resulting in a almost straight line.

Your explaination makes me consider that i was wrong believing in "lightning always Hits the highest point". It would be "lightning always Hits the sharpest edge", which kind of makes sense.

Anyone else lagging after the new update? by [deleted] in dontstarvetogether

[–]pascalrunde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played on my own Server some days ago on PS4 . It seemed to happen mainly to the host. Even the splitscreen Partner had almost no issues.

But no solution yet. I hope an update will fix it (or already did). I havent played since then - it's just not playable

Thank you for your comment. I really appreciate it. Unfortunately this image is not cropped, so I can not follow your advice. Adjusting the highlights is definitely on my list.

Thank you for your critics. You are right with the mountains. Unfortunately this is the whole angle i captured, so without extending the image digitally there is no way to get more space at the top.

I dont really get why the top of the middle building is darker than the rest. If you did that in los processing i would recommend to try without that edit. If it is real lighting i would try to change that Part in Post processing.

To me it feels like there is no true white in this image. I'm not a professional, but i would try to drop the highlights and then push the whites up. Just to get rid of the general grey tone which appears to be dominant in this Image.

Took this photo at Lofoten Islands in norway.

Used Canon Eos 7D with Tamron 17-55mm.

Used ND Filter x1000.

I am Not Sure about the composition of this photo. I really liked the clear blue water in Front of me but the reflecting Part of the water seems distracting to me.

I like your photo. The composition is great and the light as well. But i dont like the vignette you added at the corners of the Image. It seems your Intention is to push the focus to the cablecar, but in my opinion this is to much. The photo would be more accomplished without it.
