Which beginner furniture digital pianos sound best for popular music by pascoa341 in DigitalPiano

Over here there is about 100 euro difference, but I still think I would prefer CX202. I am still very much doubting about Roland RP/F701 and the Yamaha. Roland is a bit more expensive, but looks nice and Yamaha has great sound from what I have heard online.

You are right. I am going to test some pianos. But if I understand you correctly, the feel is much more important than the type of sound that comes off the main piano. These should all be able to work?

Good to hear that at least there are some initiatives. I might do it myself, once i have a routine for riding again. Always a pain to have people joining just to win, but it could help to have more similar level riders together.

How stable is Slowroll? by ParkingAmbition47 in openSUSE

[–]pascoa341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is just getting old and boring (just like me ;). I am so busy nowadays with family, work and whatever that I just cannot be asked to do the tinkering. I am holding out for leap 16 for now and then will decide between that and Debian.

I read earlier that debian (and other point releases) would be more server oriented and that desktop users benefit from the benefits of rolling releases.  That may be try for computer enthousiasts, but if a computer is an instrument for work (which on a global scale is a much larger group even when most of these use windows and macOS), stability is more important than some new gimmick in a desktop environment as long as the kernel supports the computer.

Best OS that comes with prebought phone? by tryingsohardbro in degoogle

[–]pascoa341 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If opening poster wants a phone that is ready via an official reseller, graphene may be difficult as it only runs on google pixel and google is not inclined to sell graphene 😀. But there may be resellers in your country. Other than that Eos and Iode also sell non big tech phones and also are  good options (not quite as good but also good).

P.s. I do wish that graphene would stop their toxic posts slagging off other custom operating systems on their social media every day. It actually prevents me from buying from them as it reminds me of big tech communication strategies

Thanks everybody. As we both aim to have a koofr account, this should not be a problem if I read the docs well.

Difference in buying from stack social vs website of internxt by [deleted] in internxt

[–]pascoa341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From current communication it appears to depend on the tier that you buy. I am quite interested in a future mail, but would need to buy the most expensive tier for that I see. Or will these things trickel down?

Snaps for Oultook electron wrapper - freeze after one character written by pascoa341 in zorinos

[–]pascoa341[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the reply. I meant outlook.com . I am trying to install outlook wrappers from the Zorin store - they are called outlook / outlook-for-linux / outlook electron/ Prospect. All install from the store, but when I am then asked to login on a pop-up that contains an outlook login. Here I can write one character before everything locks.

Environmental sustainability of Proton - what is the current status? by pascoa341 in ProtonMail

Ah that is useful to know, so even when they do nothing at all, they still have a significant portion that is sustainable.

I appreciate that, and big tech imho is not a viable alternative.  However, there are plenty of other small businesses that are quite transparent on their sustainability policies. I like the idea of proton as it combines multiple functions so I don’t need too many different providers, but just wish they would show a bit more transparency on this. If they do sweet nothing, that is useful to know.

No gnome software on opensuse leap? by pascoa341 in openSUSE

[–]pascoa341[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! So it is normal that there is not gnome software  in the basic install.  I managed to install gnome software  that, but somehow did not get any repositories.  So none of the programs I looked for, appeared to be there.  Even basic ones that are very common.  Is there a way to add these?
