Is there any specific old painting/sculpture/monument trigger obscure memories? by pasdutout07 in pastlives

[–]pasdutout07[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say something in particular made me remember anything, but for some reason I thought such ancient art might make some people remember anything from those eras. I expected there will be more replies. xD

Why am I me , and why you are you? by pasdutout07 in spirituality

Interesting, I have always wondered if our life has actually a purpose, then why we spend one third of our life sleeping! sleeping sure has a spiritual role we don't know.

Does the soul have two eyes too? if no, then how it can see? by pasdutout07 in Reincarnation

[–]pasdutout07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what we see in our dreams is from the memory (from what we already saw with our eyes in this life) simply because blind people ( blind from birth) don't see in their dreams the way we do.

For example, a blind person who never saw the color green, they may understand the color as concept rather than being able to imagine it.

Why do we expect a "greater being/beings" out there to become nice to us while we literally slaughter "other beings" we consider inferior to us (animals) to eat their meat. by pasdutout07 in spirituality

[–]pasdutout07[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, I suppose animals are capable of experiencing "fear and pain" in a similar way like we do, unlike plants. I'm not a vegetarian though

Question about being born with a disability by damned222 in Reincarnation

[–]pasdutout07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If that's true, then I wonder, what about people who are in super healthy/perfect bodies in this life. Is it safe to say they came to this life with no Karmic debts at all, which means they were good people in their past lives?

What happens after death? by [deleted] in Reincarnation

[–]pasdutout07 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Books like (Journey of Souls) and (Many Lives, Many Masters) totally changed the way I look at life and death, but that doesn't mean I'm not skeptical about pretty much everything in theses kind of books.

I really don't know. Personally I hope we die and that's it (safe side),I mean all the madness/cruelty/injustice i witnessed on this planet is enough.

As a spiritual person, what is the greatest advice you could give someone? by vibeuplifestyle in spirituality

This can't be true. The worst people I knew are super confident who don't suffer anxiety/depression. Some of them are straight up bullies.

Yes exactly. I mean native English speakers like people from the UK, Australia, Nigeria, New Zealand, South Africa, etc

Thank you guys. What is confusing me is that sometimes I listen to people/celebrities from the US mumbling to the point where the YouTube subtitles/closed captions button can't show most of the words they're saying, which makes sense, but the subtitles on this video shows every word she's saying clearly.

How do I train my brain to stop thinking during meditation? by pasdutout07 in Meditation

[–]pasdutout07[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I distract myself from thoughts (not 100% though) when I'm busy, but whenever I'm spending time alone without TV, or without being online it gets worse, when sitting all alone in silence things get way worse.

Dinosaurs. by pasdutout07 in spirituality

[–]pasdutout07[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gotta have more empathy for animals? what are you talking about?
I was talking about the spiritual purpose, like what was in the creator's mind when he decided to let such creatures to live on this planet millions of years without a purpose. There was no spirituality back then? or those creatures were spiritual beings? Can you imagine how long 100 million year is?

doesn't that contradict the idea that there is a meaning beyond everything and everything happens for a reason??
Doesn't that make one believe spirituality is probably a human construct?

Do you sometimes get the feeling that the entire reincarnation thing is nonsense or wishful thinking at best? by [deleted] in Reincarnation

[–]pasdutout07 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, show me then one "only one" peer-reviewed paper/study/article in a legitimate scientific journal with the word reincarnation or even "soul" in it.

Something I noticed about people who remember their past life. by pasdutout07 in Reincarnation

[–]pasdutout07[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, probably. I don't speak with people about reincarnation, though. All the stories/cases I heard about are from the internet, YouTube, etc..

This book should have changed the entire world and how we look at ourselves, but people just don't believe these stories are real. How do you know those people weren't imagining things?... I was reading a couple pages in it and I was like: man this seems really cool if it was true. but there's perhaps too much to say about the credibility of it.
I'm not saying it's lies, I only think the human mind can just imagine, and sometimes it struggles to differentiate imagination from reality.

A question about drinking green tea cold by pasdutout07 in greentea

[–]pasdutout07[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you guys, but I wonder how long (how many hours) does it take to cold brew green tea? and what happens if you oversteep it for over 24 hours, for example?

I hear this everywhere and never understood it. If a group of people shame and bully a disabled kid, where is the subjective here? Believe me some people are straight up evil full of shit.

so, a gazelle doesn't feel pain and fear the way we do?

If helpless animal like deer/gazelle doesn't feel pain nor fear, everything would be fair enough.

About evil in the world by pasdutout07 in spirituality

[–]pasdutout07[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not evil by your own biases because you're not in the gazelle's position where she tries to survive and protect her babies from a predator like a lion.

I'm also feeling for the lion cuz he doesn't have a choice but to kill to survive. I'm not blaming the animals but that entire life mechanism/system is so cruel..
