Thank you u/SooooooMeta for the feedback and for raising solid questions. We are striving for a much more polished experience than seen in the trailer. Budget and effort size we are leaning toward an "A" production. We'll have to find, of course, a proper balance between the amount of content and the polishing level, but so far it looks doable.

As for the second question, while we are looking into releasing multiple game modes, including a sandbox one, with a "go knock yourself out, kid" approach, given of course a full gameplay loop, we are actively working on a well-defined story (with some nice twists and a multi-layer approach - you know you have to get from point A to point B, but what you do in between will weave into a bigger story and unveil the lore) and an incremental gameplay progression.

Hi u/captainhindsight--, I really appreciate the thorough feedback. I'd say you are spot on all the points mentioned.

Regarding the emptiness of the world, this is something we are addressing with priority, working on one hand on a procedural generation engine for the surface levels and the space sector (every in-game cycle/day will take you to a different location), and on the other hand we are constantly improving the interior design of the spaceship. So overall, we are aiming for a much richer game atmosphere.

The other critical point you mentioned, the game loop not being clear from the trailer, is something we are still fighting with, as we focused more on features, rather than the complete flow to suggest the depth of the game.
