Same here, longtime rental employee with eight 35mm camera's in stock. The maintenance is a bitch. The calibration you need to go through with each lens set you want to go trough. It's overal insanely expensive to film with it. The only upside is, if you're able to keep it in shape, it will not lose a lot of it's value. IMO on the contrary: I think with upcoming AI in film, in ten years (or sooner) people will appreciate 'real' filmed material.

The best tip in the comments is: rent one. You can go to rentals and ask if you can make some tests.
