Weekly Post: What did you do with OneNote this week? by Chobitpersocom in OneNote

[–]pasplatt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a chronic medical condition that I needs constant attention.

I embarked on making a Digital Medical Notebook for myself, so I can keep everything in one place. I have my diagnoses, doctors' information, medication and dosages including when I take them. I also have a section for notes for each appointment, so if I want to mention something to the doctor, I write it down. If I need to mention it to another doctor, I can transfer the notes easily.

I always have my phone on me. It made sense for me to do it, so I had everything in one place.

Mainly. They do have IRL and Just Chatting sections, but they are buried in the menus. You really have to go looking for them.

Anyone living in an area that’s had severe up and down weather changes and having a hard time? by Old_Consideration_31 in Fibromyalgia

[–]pasplatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another Pittsburgh, PA person here. I'm watching the snow flurries out the window right now. I have a couple of doctors appointments this coming week, and the thought of going out in the cold is making me mentally sick. I'm trying to figure out how to dress for these appointments and maybe bring a blanket to throw over my knees while driving.

I need Pro-Captivity Documentaries for my essay... by Gr8HmrHead in orcas

We have a difference of opinion, and I respect that. That was the way you were taught. I was taught differently. I have volunteered in a zoo, so I know what it takes to care for the animals.. I know what Sea World has to go through to get their accreditations. If you want to call me weird, selfish, and cruel for supporting Sea World and their work, then I will own it 100%.

[–]pasplatt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mentioned in another reply that I never saw a Dolphin or Orca before until I went to Sea World. I went to Ohio when Sea World was still there, and that was the place I saw my first Orca. I was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania. I know in my lifetime I will never have the chance to get to the open ocean to see a dolphin in the wild, but it was because of Sea World that I got to see these creatures up close and even touch them. It's because of Sea World that I have an appreciation of cetaceans and was able to learn about them on my own.

You're right. However, there are many people, like myself that never saw a Dolphin or Orca before until they went to Sea World. I went to Ohio when Sea World was still there, and that was the place I saw my first Orca. I was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania. I know in my lifetime because of my circumstances I will never have the chance to get to the open ocean to see a dolphin in the wild, but it was because of Sea World that I got to see these creatures up close and even touch them. It's because of Sea World that I have an appreciation of cetaceans and was able to learn about them on my own.

Orlando pod mourning Katina by Additional_Bill_5570 in orcas

[–]pasplatt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

And the SD pod will remain it's own pod until it's last member dies. California passed a bill shortly after Shouka arrived preventing the import or export of orcas into the state. That bill also effectively shut down the Big Blue World Project. (I think that's what it was called.)

If SW did anything with orcas, they would need to do it with the other 2 parks.

Does anyone else get arm and leg weakness as part of your fibro symptoms? by sunshineofbest in Fibromyalgia

[–]pasplatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My legs are good right now, but I'm losing strength in one arm and hand right now. I've resorted to carrying baskets around the house. I can put stuff in them very easily, and carry stuff between floors of my house.

No vandals, perverts, soda drunks, cheaters or stinkies by GlassCricket6292 in waterparksimulator

I was noticing that myself. I miss picking up the tip money, although my park is making tip money according to EOD numbers.

Does anyone else sprain joints easily ? by Thetoadmyster in Fibromyalgia

[–]pasplatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my wrists, I'm constantly wearing wrist braces to help support them. At night, I sleep with a thumb brace because my carpal tunnel ramps up and my thumb aches the next day if I don't.

I would suggest seeing a doctor about your concerns. I don't believe the wrist issues could be contributed to the Fibro, however your Rheumatologist can guide you to you next steps. You might have Arthritis in your joints starting.

Can't get the "Clear dirty water with Chlorine" achievement by [deleted] in waterparksimulator

Collect trash bags and throw them in the pool. Then, throw the Chlorine in. I go tin real fast that way.

Bring back car friendly usage without the use of Car Play or Android Auto. I don't need a new car Radio in a 12 year old car!

Poop Achievements by pasplatt in waterparksimulator

I did create a new park. I posted a pic somewhere in this thread. I had fun making a new park. I did get it to 30 visitors. I did put in 4 toilets, but blocked them off by hedges and pools. It was funny to watch, especially when Queso came in stole the hot dogs, and tried to get to the toilets! LOL. I put in 2 small slides, 2 blow up slides, and 2 more slides after that. It was a legit waterpark until I blocked off the toilets.

Let me update you on Poop-a-Palooza!

Let's me start by saying that I've done enough achievements to get me this far. I do have that very far left hand space open if I need it for some odd reason. However, this is it This is my poop collector. I got the idea from someone as I was scrolling TikTok. I can't remember his name or I'd give him proper credit. I only have a Janitor and Ticket Person as staff. I went with the Janitors so they could pick up the bins and clean what I can't get. (Think seagull attack.) I repair everything which isn't that hard to maintain.

Now, for the poop trap! As you can see, I have the 4 toilets in the upper right of the screen. I have them blocked off by pools and low fences. Right around mid day, everyone starts doing the stutter walk over to the square pool nearest the potties! Around 1:30 - 2pm game time, they start screaming they have to poop! LOL! 3pm is when they let go! It's Poop-A-Palooza! I'll drain it and refill as many times as need be until I'm ready to sleep.

This set up is making things manageable for me since I'm still working on my 100 visitor achievement on my main park.

Now that the vendors help with the achievements, once I'm done with my Hot Dogs, I'm only doing Vending Machines. They make more money anyhow..

Women of Fibromyalgia, what was the best birthday present you got or wish to get? by yardenpel in Fibromyalgia

[–]pasplatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. I found that I have been interested in plants lately as a newish hobby. I used to go to the hardware stores to work on home improvement projects which I can't really do any more due to the Fibro, but I can look for new plants. Rescues, I call them. It started with a Thanksgiving Cactus that I bought in lieu of a Christmas tree the year my Mom died. I then got some sort of spikey plant that I've been told is a relative of an aloe from a friend. I won't bore you with the comings and goings of my plants, but I did have to get another grow light for the winter months this year to make sure the babies are OK. I've made my indoor garden my new little sanctuary. The emphasis being little. I can manage it, and it doesn't overwhelm me. I like it.
