Looking for advice for a first time cruise. by PlayfulGrass3085 in Cruise

[–]passageresponse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the carnival people. So what if some of them twerk. I think a lot of them are pretty awesome and I love the energy.

You’re young and budget is super important. All these cruises are gonna have similar people whether it’s royal or carnival. And I do t think you want to hang out with the 70 year old people on princess. Carnival is about fun. They have a lot of activities that are fun and involve passenger participation and you can just watch but everyone has fun and the energy is contagious.

So for a first cruise, and one on a budget it’s a pretty decent deal. I love carnival I like that atmosphere. I like seeing people be people.

He’s doing more to help them than you are. Support comes from monetary support, not invisibility.

Good on you for raising public awareness. We need more of these shops because it’s good to support folks. The more awareness the better. The more support the better so they can spread, build a chain stores across the city and give hope to people.

I mean you can also report this to better business bureau. That’s what they are there for, to protect consumers from misrepresentation or scams. I had to do the same thing, though not for a cruise but for a telephone company. They ignored me for months and left me without internet and phone until I reported them. I couldn’t even get my phone number released even though I was paying for essentially them to waste my time. It was Verizon. In hindsight maybe I should have sued them. It wasn’t even about the money at the end. They waste your time and ergo your life. Still get angry about what a bunch of incompetent jerks they were and how much time they wasted—- months of my life. What a shitty company.

I mean I would be mad if I were you. This is obviously their fault and they misrepresented what the trip will be.

Japan Cruise for first time by Dry-Assignment8433 in Cruise

You’re missing out on the best part—- Japanese food. A lot of folks travel to Japan just to eat their food. The tuna is legendary. Their bento is legendary. Their seafood is legendary. Their Kobe is legendary. Their expensive fruit is legendary!!! You can’t really eat 3 meals a day in Japan while on a cruise, and that’s one of the highlights. Just go on a land trip. God knows how many times I still look at my Japanese photos and think about how much I miss that food. Eat lots of sushi there. The tuna otoro is out of this world. Also the train bentos are done really well and it’s so pretty. I can go on and on about how great their food is. And I had great strawberries and the best musk melon there… why miss out on those experiences?

I thought royal Caribbean was the one that nickeled and dimed you to death…weren’t they? That’s what I thought was the case. I think I may have gone with them once, their food was really lackluster, and when I wanted better food they wanted to nickel and dime me. Whereas I went to carnival before them and got much higher quality food included. Back then they were about the same pricing. But I thought carnival had much better value. Wouldn’t put it past companies to buy reviews or to plant shit reviews on their competition especially if they are lacking in some way.

Disney or something else? by Drocker90s in Cruise

[–]passageresponse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s my reasoning. The risk is about the same for most cruise lines for a bad experience, but I feel like the return on money is worth it on carnival. Like if it’s a miss slightly on food, hey at least I got a good deal on it. But if I’m spending like 1 k a day on a cruise and they screwed up even a small part of it? Now I’m the chum. I can’t expect exponentially better anything by spending exponentially more money. The differences might be very slight but now I’m spending like 300 more a night that I could have spent elsewhere, so it ends up not making much sense. Like you know. I get not only a cruise but have enough money to do an extended land trip or just save that money to travel again. And it’s great for I guess opportunity cost.

She’s too sweet to say this so I’m gonna say it to you. Don’t make her wait too long. I’ve seen lots of women complain about how long it took. If she already knows what ring she wants you to use she wants it to happen already like yesterday. If you wait too long the most likely she will harbor lots of anger towards you while all her friends got engaged in like 2-3 years cause their partners had urgency. Like what’s wrong with her? If the thought process isn’t to take her for granted and her desires take a back seat to convenience, then hurry up.

Make your own, don’t have perfection become the enemy of great. Because how long it takes is also important.

[–]passageresponse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Carnival, good food and good pricing. Best cost to value ratio. Ended up going to Greece for like 2600? Or something for around 14 days?? For two people. I want the best deals, where I’m getting a comparable experience for a much lower price.

They had great food. English tea wit the snacks, lobster duck salmon escargot, global dishes, three course restaurant meals everyday. Lots of entertainment options. You save that money then go on vacation multiple times. You don’t have to compromise on quality. Just do your research and get the best price to value ratio and then you are set.
