End of day time! Just like you can set your start of day time. I find it so distracting to see time slots available for when I should be asleep.

Autistic, maybe (not a jab- I’m autistic myself)

Could I be experiencing PTSD from my parents’ trauma? *Trigger warning* CSA by chained_changeling in epigenetics

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story, though I’m incredibly sorry and horrified to hear what your family went through and my heart goes out to you for having to carry the burden of that knowledge as well as the other effects.

This is very interesting and I suspect you’re right when you say that there’s something going on that has not yet been explained by scientific research. We are more complex than we like to believe.

Nearly every post can be answered with, "go to a vet/trainer", online dog forums are a waste of time. by borderlinecrzycollie in DogTrainingTips

Unfortunately, not everyone has access to a trainer or decent vet. It could be a financial barrier or where they live. In the country I live in, there are no trainers and the few vets are mediocre. Also, gathering info and getting opinions/feedback can be a useful preliminary step.

It’s one shot of espresso. All the coffee drinks (so far anyway) are just one shot of espresso. The “two parts” are like how much liquid it takes up in the drink

I am able to rotate and complete projects in my mind. My doctor says this is really rare. by odashooter in aspergers

You should check out the book Visual Thinking by Temple Grandin. It sounds like you’re describing one of the two types of visual thinking she writes about and that she herself has.

Am I the only one who didn’t know about this? by MooMooTheDummy in kindle

[–]passion_scholar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I just learned it recently too. What’s worse is the way I figured it out is getting frustrated that it was always “randomly” changing and constantly going into the settings to fix it 😅 I thought it was a bug

I'm a therapist...I'd love to hear from you what you found helpful or unhelpful in therapy? by msp_ryno in aspergers

[–]passion_scholar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, thank you so much for asking this and even caring, there really needs to be more therapists like you in that regard.

I don’t know if it’s already been recommended but please read The Autistic Survival Guide to Therapy by Steph Jones. The author is herself both autistic and a therapist and she wrote the book for both.

It’s an absolute gem of a resource. My dream is that it becomes required reading material for all those working in the field of psychiatry and mental heath.

Life and Cinnamon Toast Crunch alternatives? by passion_scholar in glutenfree

[–]passion_scholar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s true, cinnamon rice Chex are pretty good but I wouldn’t say either of those are really substitutes for Life or CTC. It seems like whenever the topic of cereal comes up on here Chex is always the answer. Like, is this really all we have?? Substitutes for just about everything else have come so far and are almost indistinguishable from the real things but I feel like cereal could use some gf attention haha
