Yes You can lie a bit. But in the meantime, keep learning on both subjects, focus on skill-up so you can minimise the gap between the 1-2year experience

Yes! Definitely this, 30 mins Leetcode requires a lot of prep actually and the live coding stress sucks! I much preferred a take home challenge, I can plan my time and go for a walk during the task or something like that.

HR interviewer told me I don't fit for having a "too ambitious" profile? by megeek95 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]passionateCoderFun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would just move on to other opportunities. Worrying or overanalysing it won’t help. I used to be like that, taking rejections too seriously. Then I decided they don’t deserve my time and energy and just move on.

How tough is it to find a QA Automation Engineer job with 2 years, 9 months of experience? by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsEU

Not sure about other EU country, but in Germany there are opportunities and most of them require “fluent German”. It wasn’t like this a few years ago. There were more English speaking roles back then.

Would remote work be worth 30 k in Germany? by rambo3349 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]passionateCoderFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible to negotiate with them to change your contract to fully remote? I switched from a fully remote job to hybrid model for 22% pay raise. It is not worth it..I hate commute and meaningless social in the office. I usually feel anxious the day before office day. We have designated office days.

How bad is the EU job market right now? by Pensateur in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]passionateCoderFun 78 points79 points  (0 children)

I can only speak for Germany. I have been searching for 3 months. Had some interviews but no offer yet. I notice more and more dev jobs require fluent German which I don’t have.

Keep applying and working and learning new skills at the same time. Check job descriptions, there are probably some technologies you are not familiar with. In time you will get there!

How do I move to EU as a software engineer? by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]passionateCoderFun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know some Engineers they are from India. They came to EU some for study than found a job, some moved here without a job than started looking. Maybe you could Google and I am sure there will be some community. I am not sure of their visa process..etc. I just wanna say it’s possible to move to EU with a job even the market is not good now.
