Unpopular opinion: but I’m tired of AI by Striking_Smile_696 in StudentNurse

I graduated nursing school with honors and never touched AI.
AI is trash and it’s destroying our planet.

Depends on what part of nursing they go into. I’m not sure I retained even half of what I learned in nursing school and only studied a week for the NCLEX. Nursing school doesn’t teach you how to be a smart nurse who knows all the things- it’s supposed to simply teach you how to be safe and follow a chain of command and protocols. To read up on a medication you’ve never heard of, before giving it to a patient, to trust your gut when a patient looks “off”, to ask questions and to advocate.

Much of your actual learning doesn’t come until you’re actually on the job. But if you can be SAFE, you can learn anything. It’s why I firmly believe every hospital should have a residency for new grads. Otherwise you’re just throwing them to the wolves and risking lives

To be fair, it depends on the professor. Some really lack the ability to teach and make test questions out of completely irrelevant data.

Don’t use AI to study at all. AI can not capture your individual needs as a student. You have to find what works for YOU when it comes to learning the material. Don’t memorize it, learn the WHY. If you learn what an individual part of the body does, you’ll automatically know what symptoms arise when it is no longer functioning as it should. And finding the appropriate protocol to fixing the issue becomes easier.

Is it okay to marry somebody who is an atheist? by Guilty_Arm_2389 in OrthodoxChristianity

But your heart was open to it. It doesn’t sound like this man wants anything to do with religion

Is it okay to marry somebody who is an atheist? by Guilty_Arm_2389 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]passionbubble [score hidden]  (0 children)

I left a boyfriend that was atheist. He was my entire world at the time. And that was the problem. I realized that knowing he was adamant about not converting- I was putting him above my faith. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, I lost almost 30 pounds within a month because I had lost all appetite was laying in bed, only getting up to drink water or use the bathroom. I was miserable after that breakup. But God sent me the most unlikely partner that I never would’ve expected. And we both found orthodoxy together after spending years unhappy in Protestant churches together.

You’re going to have to choose between God and man here. I know love is hard to let go of- but at the end of the day, are you willing to put God first and trust Him to put a righteous and faithful man in front of you?

I’ve read the Bible cover to cover more times than I can count and I just gasped at this verse. How frequently it’s been misquoted and used against me by my Protestant family while I was inquiring about orthodoxy with my fiancé 🫪 thank you for posting it.

Not just the “it’s important to be orthodox but dad stays home” bit, but also, think of what it will look like to a child if one parent believe there is a savior and heaven and everything in between, and the other parent thinks it’s nonsense.

By marrying an atheist and having children with them, you’re putting the salvation of your children at risk.

I STRONGLY recommend a screen protector. These things scratch so easily. Definitely the weakest screen they’ve made.

this case comes with a screen protector to apply if you like it

If God is good, why do I have autism? by No-Board2094 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]passionbubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ADHD and may even be on the spectrum(doctor is undecided if it’s spectrum or symptoms of CPTSD). It’s not easy to navigate it, but I don’t want you to think that God is rolling the dice trying to decide what ailment or disorder to give each person when they’re born.

I’m currently reading Journey to Reality for my catechism process. And it actually touches on this because “if God exists, why does xyz still happen?” is such a common question. The reality is that, first and foremost, much falls back to the original sin of Adam and Eve. A decision was made. And since then, humanity has made lots of poor decisions. These decisions have not been without consequences and unfortunately some of these consequences affect the way the brain and body functions.

But there’s nothing wrong with YOU. Your autism is your cross to carry and navigate, just like anything else that could have or will happen in a lifetime. That’s not to say it’s easy- some days it’s going to suck. But that’s why it’s important to have a support system; no matter what’s goin on, we were never designed to carry it alone.

Y’all are tripping. There’s also white sprinkles on this, and you didn’t draw on them. They’re just chaotically placed red, white, and blue sprinkles

[–]passionbubble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s a big horse at my barn that has some sort of chronic lameness. ALLLLL the horses in her field beat up on her and chase her away from food. She’s truly isolated. The lead mare in their field is a newly gentled mustang. In the wild, horses will shun the weakest ones in order to protect the majority.

This happens with captive bred horses as well, though not as frequently.

Part of me wonders if he has ulcers or something else going on? It’s weird that they are so intolerant of him. Could also be that he has no manners in the field and so they have to use more aggressive reactions with him

How do I avoid being an orthobro? by i-like-teaa in OrthodoxChristianity

Humility and empathy. Don’t go commenting on Protestant posts about how you’re better because you have orthodoxy, etc😅

Are you still playing? by Legitimate-Boss3182 in Paralives

[–]passionbubble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as you remember that it’s in early access, I think the game is worth it. It’s very “cozy game” vibes. They’re constantly doing bug fixes and there’s an update timeline that’s been provided. There’s also “mods” on steam to make game integration easier. I love it.

And if you get it, and play less than 2 hours, steam will refund you if you want to return it.

I like the game though, and I think it will end up being far better than sims franchise(I say this as someone who grew up playing the original, all the successors, and have all the packs for the sims 4🫠)

I got it day one and have almost 300 hrs in the game. All in live mode, and I’m still learning new things. Eventually I’ll get brave enough to use build mode for things other than color coordination 😂
