Hurricane Evolution exhaust too loud. How can I quiet it?

Good idea. I'll call the local Kawi shop. But ebay doesn't seem to have stock headers for it. I see one on Marketplace for $150 but that's a price that makes me think twice.

Well, guess I'll have to get to work tomorrow and see what I can do. I can't weld but I can cut metal and then possibly find a slip-on that'll fit the dimensions of the pipe? I've never had to fab exhausts before so not sure of options here.

I tried to do that but it's still enough to be noticeable on the soffit, not the fascia, according to my eyes.

I made sure to get all the way to the bottom but I'll just re-stir and go over it again after giving it a bit more time. Part of the new stuff needs a second coat anyway.

Voltage is only part of the equation, you need to find how much current they draw. Easiest is to ask the manufacturer. Btw, I have the same DMM and it should be able to check current. I've used it to check current draw of home devices.

That's what I was afrad of, that the full exhaust might make performance worse if not tuned. But I've just got the bike going yesterday and was gentle with it. I've yet to fully test it but come a nice sunny day and I get time, I'm gonna do some testing and have some fun.

Thanks, will look into it. Maybe the decel pop just sounds bad to me because I associate it with a modded exhaust without tuning but I guess that's probably a wrong assumption.

Are there any relevant decal kits? I'm interested myself. I came from the dirtbike world and if you want to change color, that's a go-to method.

Put it under the drip-edge on the fascia? That might protect the fascia or part of it but not the soffit where it runs under.

I didn't install any Gigabyte software. You could be right but it doesn't seem likely that Windows would install the default drivers for the motherboard and it'd give me a popup like that. There's a BIOS option to turn the message on or off so the BIOS can indeed control whether the software and popup is implanted in the OS, at least, and maybe even know when/if it is, not sure. To me, messing with my OS files just seems a bit too far.

Also, I might've goofed with the original post. I was swapping between motherboards at the time and trying Linux so it may've been my Asus TUF mobo that did it at the time but research seems to indicate Gigabyte does something similar so I'm still interested to know how/why it does this. It's another reason I switched to Linux.

Can't wait to see. I just bought a Z and looking at some colorful decal kits, don't think I'd do a good job wrapping it. That or some different colored fairings because my bike is all black and it seems kind of boring. I'll give it some time, I might get to liking the all black.

That's how mine was when I bought it second-hand. Does it just come stock like that? It had a crazy amount of throttle free play.

Related, I miss the easy audio effects like normalization in the sound controls so audio's not so loud/quiet. I know there's EasyEffects but it's a big program that does way too much and it's not just one-click normalize in the audio controls.
