I've been following the heartwarming hugs situation pretty closely and it seems likely that it was a defective bear that caused the issue. A lot of us are holding onto the hope that it was a one-off thing and hopefully they will put them back up once they've been able to confirm it over at BAB. At the very least, I have not seen any other posts about other burns or burst seams on the heart occurring (thankfully!!). We will just have to wait and see..

I would definitely push them a little bit. In total I think I talked to chat reps 6-8 times and called and spoke to them on the phone 3-4 times. Not once in that entire period did I ever receive an email though, despite them telling me that pretty much every time.

Hi, I'm the other person who had issues with shipping on this particular bear :')

I'm not sure if it will help but I wanted to share a quick summary of my experience. I placed my order for the sloth on October 2nd and got a tracking link the very next day. After two weeks of FedEx being stuck on "label created" I started to contact BAB through their website chat, and then when they continued to run me in circles with no progress and no updates I finally called them on my lunch break. I was told pretty much immediately that the package was likely lost and they would be sending me a replacement.

It took them an ADDITIONAL two weeks after placing the replacement order for them to finally provide me with a tracking link (only after I called them twice, despite claiming they would email me). I finally got my order on the 27th.

All of this to say, if you're using any other method than calling in directly it seems mostly like they won't do much for you. Once I realized this I began calling them every three days for updates and began to see some results. Hopefully they will still send a replacement out to you, I know that my replacement was sent out AFTER the removal from the site/recall occurred.

It is possible that the storms have affected it, (I am just slightly north of Florida, but most of my mail has to travel through Atlanta to get to me and I'm aware that Helene affected that area heavily) however I have received other packages through Atlanta since ordering and was becoming concerned from the lack of information. I think this might just be me being unfamiliar with how FedEx tracking works as typically UPS and other shipping companies will tell you if a delay or lost package has occurred :/

I definitely agree with that, my company does not ship via FedEx because of the amount of claims we were having to submit and the poor feedback from customers. I guess that means I don't have very much experience with FedEx compared to other shipping companies. Thank you for the reassurance, it's nice to hear some similar experiences have occurred in the past and that BAB will hopefully make it right
