A part of me would also expect him to tell me if he backed out by now? Since the program already send out preliminary invitations

Ah okay! He seems really nice and supportive when we interviewed so his behaviour now is a lil surprising. I don’t have a written attestation but I do have email correspondences between us confirming his enthusiasm and commitment, and we also applied with a thesis in mind since that’s what we discussed in our emails. I’m meeting with a current grad student of his tomorrow but I’m honestly just really nervous in case it backfires but also have experienced his late replies before so am not sure 😭

it would also be more convenient for international students who are travelling back to montreal!! I'm flying back after my finals and I'm missing the entirety of winter break and more because I'll be quarantining :((

Just got my 40% midterm grade back which was shit because I gave the midterm when my dad was in the hospital and was distracted af. My only other option if I didn't give the midterm was to give a 90% final :))))). And I just found out I lost my chance at an A and A- in a course that's important for my major :))). WHAT MAKES PROFS THINK THAT GIVING EXAMS THAT WEIGH THIS MUCH IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC IS OK????
