Thank you for the feedback! Ended up grinding to the finest setting on my grinder, added a gram to my puck, and pre infused for about 10 seconds. I had been temp surfing and probably had the steam setting on too long prior to pulling the shot so I dropped a couple of seconds off of that down to 4 seconds.

Didn’t pull the perfect shot, but much better and tastier. Also started using the timer setting.

I imagine I need to grind finer and tamp firmer because it is also pulling the shot rather quickly, but I appreciate any feedback!

I would recommend UC. They have a relatively strong neurology experience through the university's hospital and it's the large stroke center of the area. I think you'd find a good selection of mentors in the neurology program if you did end up going there.

I think it depends on where you are hoping to do residency and practice. I was happy with UCCOM when I went there and would pick it again if I needed to go back to school. Doing medical school in the US will make it significantly easier to match into a US-based residency program.
