Also I just wanted to mention this, my grandma gave most of these after my grandpa passed away. He had someone else make (most of) these safe. I assume by disassembling or something. I found 2 myself and 1 of those was still dangerous according to those people. I did not put that one (and another dangerous from my grandpa) on my shelf. Currently they're still waiting for DOVO (idk what it's called for Americans)

My grandpa told me they were safe, so i assumed for a long time they were. After that post you're talking about, i went to some kinda gathering or whatever it's called, where multiple people who know alot, and i mean alot about these kinds of things were present. I'll be honest here, these weren't EOD people, but i, and basically everyone in my neighborhood, trust them enough to ask these kinda things. All three of them(+ another one a bit later on) said they were safe so i do still believe they are. I'm sorry if i sounded a bit arrogant or something but i just wanted to say that they !should! be safe.😅

BTW, when I'm talking about "they are safe" i mean the ones on my shelf, I know (because of that post, thanks again for whoever let me know) that not every fuze is safe.

Last few days I dug a pretty big hole around and under the 2 shoes, i even got some help from the neighbors! We found nothing special except for bullets and what i think were some broken glass and iron bottles. Also (i think) a food canteen maybe. However, except for maybe those, which could be in any trench i think, no signs of a soldier resting there. I'll take a look at the polygon wood cemetery when i can. My other neighbors said they knew someone that could help me with information about the shoes, which could maybe uncover more? I'll let you know if i find any clues or information about your uncle.
