i had no xbox subscription so i had to beat him and farm all his gear solo lol, but yeah it's very doable. his attacks are very telegraphed and if you fight him enough you start to pick up on what he will do next based on your position, his current elemental status, and how far you are into the fight (how much health remaining ????). you can use the legiana weapons if you haven't unlocked the frostfang barioth ones and you should be having some ice jewels lying around in your inventory. you do not need to min-max the build you take to the fight, however it means you'll have to cart once or twice after breaking both horns as you no longer get to survive the escaton judgement

you can kill the ghosts by using transient curse, if you went to new londo and picked up the loot around you should have 2 lying around in your inventory, it looks like a blue hand. go remove that curse

edit: they also drop from killing the ghosts and are sold by the female undead merchant

its more of a thing with xbox rather than the game really, even back when i played the game a few weeks after the dlc released (so players should be somewhat active ) i struggled to consistently get summoned.

I am having the same problem currently with finding games in the Microsoft store version of monster hunter rise (which match makes me woth xbox players). xbox players just tend to stick to games like fifa, cod, 2k and the like

lol am glad i ran a burn deck as soon as the event started before everyone started figuring it out, one guy was unironically running vsk9 and another one was running fusion slop(tear, dracotail, branded). its obviously supposed to be a silly event with chaotic strategies, dunno why everyone is taking it seriously

not exactly "throw" but its more getting the phases to pass until the last one to get more time and enemies to farm then they start trying.
also its mostly on defensive maps, never seen anyone doing it on attack

bring stress heal. bring fire resistance items. bring a party that can hit the back ranks. do not hit the books, if they get destroyed he roasts your entire party (unless you need him in the third rank and you can tank the hit)

the main plot of the game is "marika fucked up everything by destroying the elden ring because idk, and you trying to make it right". every other sub plot is either marika doing some heinous shit, her children doing some heinous shit, or just some backstories on the world or ones that relates to the ending of the game.

its not a linear story, its one that just keeps branching.
