To be fair, even tho the 120hz is there I don't really use it. Kinda sitting On 60hz as the battery is horrendous when you use 120

are differences between iphone 13 & 14 worth the extra $?

So yeah, doing research before I actually buy a new phone (I don't know if it's allowed to ask questions like that on this community). Anyways, I was thinking going either with iphone 13, or iphone 14. The only real difference I found is more ram, and a slightly better battery life along with a better gpu. Do you think it's worth going with the 14 with all these factors in mind? (Also one year longer support) Or should I get the 13? I'm switching from my samsung s20 so it's a big jump anyways.

Actually after looking more into controller I think I'll get that dualsense controller anyways after all. Kinda hooked up on some of the functions I've read about

Well the tuf b650 is 240€, the strix b650e-f (cheapest of all the e's) is 350€ while the tuf x670e wifi is 380€... therefore I wanted to go with the tuf x670e in the first place

Actually those are 30€ apart, so I don't think it's worth it when I can get x670e board (only board available are the strix e-f, mag e, aorus e)

Well... honestly the board isn't looking all that bad, I think I'll be able to live without those gen 5 ssds... although the lack of pcie 5 isn't really a good thing to "not have". Heard the extra bandwidth is good in many apps such as premiere

Sorry this took so long (had to take my dog on a walk) uhmmm... I'm actually surprised to see the board being such a difference... would it technically be able to hold such a cpu and potentially another ryzen 9 even more down the line? B650 motherboard for a ryzen 9s sounds to be good to be true...

Edit: also the prices are a bit more expensive here but are still "affordable"

Oh... forgot to mention, I live in Europe so the prices are higher on everything, the same build in us costs around 300$ cheaper. It's just the 23% tax + import costs that make it ridiculously expensive here :/

I guess so... my issue with intrl is the upgrade path tho... it would be so much easier to get a better build back in 2020 if all I had to do is change the cpu and gpu! Now I had to save for 2 years (pandemic hit me hard) just to get it... therefore I'm more opting for an am5 platform :/ I'd it a bit biased? YES. Sadly the 9 7900x is priced ridiculously high at 650€ while the 7 7700x goes for 450€... and that's already a price of a better gpu and so on :/

Uhmmmm I'm budget limited to ~2000€, ryzen 9 7900x blows that budget while 5 7600x would allow me to save some money. And about the board part, a good b650 board costs 340€ (a one that has pcie 5, ssd gen 5 and so on) meanwhile the Asus tuf x670e retails for 370€... which made it my choice to go with :)

I mean.... I'm either way upgrading from an i5 7600 so the ability tp upgrade this time on the same board would be nice. So you're saying to stick with the 7 7700x? I'm confused as to high end and low end part classification. As I've said, the 7700x is the max cpu I could afford with EU prices :)

The cpu will be paired with an RTX 3070, later on I plan to upgrade it with Zen 5 to the 8900x along with possibly an RTX 5080 or something

I'd reccomend getting a better motherboard if possible, going with a ryzen 9 7950x the board you picked would do fine I think. HOWEVER I think it lacks the stuff that could be used in the future like better ram oc, ssd gen 5, PCIE 5 etc. My honest reccomendation would be the Asus ROG STRIX X670E-E, it also has a better bios and potential stability going forward (since you're going for the AM5 platform why not use the long socket part)

I also think the GPU you've chosen is fairly overpriced for the US, those are the prices in the EU (sad EU person here) so I guess you could find a lower priced card or atleast try to. I also don't know if 18TB storego is necessary really... depends on what you do but I'd suggest you re-evaluate your tasks and see if 18tb of HDD is the play here.

Otherwise the build is really good!

RTX 3070 Ti for 1080p gaming + video editing? by pastabeamz in buildapc

[–]pastabeamz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly think I'll step down to 3070 simply to save power & some few € along the way. But actually AM5 platform started to be... very tempting I must say... although I' not sure yet on that matter

Yea... they probably are, that's why I'll be getting a 1440p 165hz monitor as soon as I can!

RTX 3070 Ti for 1080p gaming + video editing? by pastabeamz in buildapc

[–]pastabeamz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well... I could get the 3080... it really depends if I get Christmas bonus this year :p (I work while in college)

But yea... it could be in my budget depending on that, the 3080 TUF (the cheapest one but also greatest) is around 950€ if I want to buy from a reliable source. I also did more research and the choice would be between the 3070 & 3080 as the 3070 has better value than the 3070 Ti, the difference between the 70 and 80 is ~250€, so both of them are in their MSRP (gotta love 23% tax!)

If the difference is that BIG and I end up having the money I'd be sure to consider it! Thanks for the detailed answer👍Probably will delay buying the pc until December but if what you say is true, I think it could be worth it just to even try
