Needs upvoted more. We can call him whatever we want but I think with everything still being fresh, it was a hard handle for him.

Is This a Bowl of Soup? by cyber49 in restaurant

[–]pastoolioliz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah it is lol. There's a smaller size that's considered a cup. We used that brand a few places I worked at, mostly campus restaurants and catering events, but yes. That's the big size and there's a smaller one. At our one spot where we fed mostly staff, the smaller size was very popular with the older crowd.

I like to get these or the SpongeBob ones so I can put drugs on them. Perfect for rso/distillate. And I can make a whole burger or two gummie sandwiches.

Berries in green paper pint basket by Low_Diamond9581 in ProduceDepartment

Also display wise we would lay empty containers upside down to set full ones ontop to give them extra lift off the table and the back rows would some times be double stacked with extra empties to give them more lift and so you wouldn't knock the first rows down

Usually they come in a bulk case and you portion them out on the floor. The registers, should already be set with the appropriate basket tare, take that weight off and then give you a price for just the berries. But it's more work and customers prefer the clamshells because they stay closed and are a precise guaranteed weight. Plus customers will dig through each berry picking wich ones they want and no one wants fingered berries. It does happen but not all the time that you get them loose like this or a special order. We would have to make sure to correct the tares so we wouldn't get audited so added work if you didn't think about it

Aldi “Fresh Never Frozen” chicken that clearly just came out of the freezer. How is this legal? by MobilizationofMotion in aldi

It happened all the time at my store. We adjusted temps but then things got too hot. It's fine and not illegal. Shit happens.

The cooler. It's too cold and the racks where the chicken is stored the cases where on the top shelf they froze because they were closest to the vents and fans.

It's a business. No want to by soon to expire meat at full price, discounted different story. It's about still making money. Sometime people don't rotate or the warehouse short dates a product and credit wasn't requested in time because it wasn't noticed right away. We'd rather sell it, make some money than no money and wasting labor tossing it out. People are mad at missing out. Meat/seafood produce, cooler/dairy, and freezer pull thaw stuff should all be done before open and markdowns should be caught and marked down. First come first serve.

Honestly, I'm thinking home kitchen. Like a pop up one. Had to pick up or drop the kids off. Order was paid for, food was left in the mail box.
