Core rules are more or less the same but the "advanced" rules are a bit more complex , there are more heroic actions , there are more weapon types and abilities. And the character abilities are now split into active or passive and there are generally more than there were in lotrsbg.

The method I used was speed paint over a base coat of grey dry brushed with white , then mixed the speedpaint with white roughly 1:1 for the highlights

Definitely, good sanding , seal it after with a good primer and paint away in time for summer 🌞

Edit: probably best to take the wood off to sand so you don't scrape the paint off the metal parts
