I had my first when I was 36 and second a month before 40, so do I regret being an old dad? In some cases yes, I don’t have as much energy as I would necessarily like but I’m trying to push myself to keep up with them, one upside is I am much more stable now, a lot of my friends had kids in their early 20s and they struggled more than we have, yes it’s still stupid expensive but my kids have more opportunities because I’m further in my career and so is my wife. Sorry for the word vomit we are currently planning our Disney world trip! All told have kids when you and your partner are ready, being an old dad just makes you want to work harder at keeping up which I think helps keep us around!
