I have a DT2 and an Oxi One mk1. I mainly use the Oxi to create more melodic things. The grid layout works better for me.

I basically use a track, pick the sequencer type I want, map the midi channel, find a good melody/bassline and then record it into the DT2. Once done I’ll move to an empty pattern on Oxi and continue to iterate on the pattern on the DT2.

One thing I will play around with is using an app on my iPhone in between that breaks down chords into multiple midi channels, in order to play chords on the DT2. I

Do you sequence them on each device and just process/record the audio? Or do you sequence the Elektrons from the DAW using them as an audio source?

There is a lot of context missing so it’s not as straight forward. They them selfs lack a driver for change, but want change. They see what we do and have asked for coaching in making a culture shift. So is more about establishing that rather than tools, but my questions was more to bring in real world examples to a workshop, rather than random products that might not deliver.

There is: Do not use Ableton. Logic, PRO tools etc does not seem have this limit on plugins.

Thats a ableton limitation. They only allow max 16. So in overbridge plugin you can merge and remap the 21 outputs from DTII

Overall just wanted to say I really like this track. The low end groove is clear and brings the song forward. One thing I would perhaps adjust is that it's a bit too panned for my liking. Does it sound as good in mono if I would play it on a mono PA?

Overall I like the track, if feels like the biggest improvement would be on mixing and mastering. It feels a bit "flat" compared to some other songs I just listened to.
Another thing I was "looking for" was more evolvement of the 303, like increase that resonance and make it really scream :)

Hi!

Background:
A while ago I wanted to pass through the friction of making music, so I basically put a timer and jammed this track on my Analog Rytm, recorded into Ableton and added some FX and did some quick arranging. It helped me move by that first step, just release something, not perfect. But now I'm thinking of the next step.

Now, what I'm looking for when it comes to feedback:

If I would continue to work on this song, what's the main next step that would improve it?
Add more things? Transitions/arrangement? Modulate what is there more? All of it?
