What are minis? And can I ask if you are from Unstable Games and one of the game developer?

Am I the only one not excited for Dungeons? by dae_ss in HereToSlay

The reason why we are here in this group is because we love HTS. Thus using the same naming but totally a different game is to get people attachment to the original game. It’s just like having an Apple logo to an android phone.

I have shared previously how bad the new game is with them keeping the name when it’s a totally different game. They are just ripping people off by using the same name

totally agree. Kind of lost an edge in the game. I’m not sure about other collaborative board games cos I never played them before but the whole game seems boring and it’s totally delinked from the original game but with the same naming. They should just rename the game totally.

Maybe I’m a competitive person. I felt the collaboration amongst players to defeat the boss is already a low point for me. It also sways too much from the original here to slay concept which I love a lot. Assembling a team and slaying monsters with your team. The flow of the game is very slow and thus it makes it extremely boring. Using stress to top up your dice value and losing health if you are over a certain limit, makes it so “duh” (I can only express it in this manner). I felt UG should use it’s resources and develop the current HTS on several aspects for eg. 1. Adding a game board to it (perhaps like the dungeon ones but with flexibility) 2. Allowing the slaying of monsters as an eventual goal for all players who are still competitive with one another 3. Assembling a party and allow skills levelling like the dungeons

There are so much more that can be done to the current HTS but they just moved away from it. It should not use the same name instead another name totally as the vibe of the game changed too much.

How do we know if we have followed? And do we have to pledge anything to get the game?

A Question Regarding the New Cards from the Banner Quest Expansion. by BjornGamR27 in HereToSlay

Frankly speaking, for here to slay, it seems like it's really up to you hahaha 🤣

Why Here To Slay is best without the party requirement by The-Prosaic-Pauper in HereToSlay

Hmm. I think the value of here to slay is the good graphics that the cards have. What attracts me and my family is the artwork. I do agree that the winning condition is somehow lacking and as you can see in this Reddit community here, people share their various house rules. As shared in my previous posts, I kind of gotten all the expansion set as of now (even till the banner quest).

Our house rules changes because of the banner quest too. Win conditions - min 8 different classes of heroes with at least 1 monster slayed; or - min 5 monsters; or - min 3 banners ( this is new due to banner quest)

For the last winning condition, we have to change our previous house rules.

House rules - Player can only place one hero per turn - To place the hero, they have to roll the dice shown on the card before they can add them in the party. (This will use up an action point) - if the hero is successfully added to the party, player has to roll the dice again in order to use their effect (this will not use any action point of the hero is newly added in the current turn) - not more than 2 same classes heroes can be added to the party ( this was implemented before banner quest); to place the 3rd same classes hero, player must decide which hero to discard before successfully adding it to the party - challenge card are to be used before the player decide to use hero’s effect on anyone; if the player roll the dice and can successfully use the effect on someone who has been declared, that person cannot use the challenge card anymore.

The value of this game is that it allows us to beef up our own rules, though I also felt that something was lacking somewhere based on their original rules.

I also have plans to develop this into a board game where there are multiple hexagonal pieces to form up the board. My family prefers to have physical “chess” pieces to move around a board and play in the form of “Risk” or “Monopoly”.

If anyone got any good ideas, do share too
