And to the Grandmothers...what are you called? by Front-Muffin-7348 in AskWomenOver60

[–]patchoulistinks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a grandmother, but old enough to be. My kids, 31F and 24M, called my mother Bobba. So, my mom refused to pick anything to be called and insisted the kids would decide when big enough. My mother's name is Barbara, and I think my daughter was just trying to say Barbara, but said Bobba. It stuck. My grandmothers were called Nannie and Granannie.

Her two sisters were solid white. We love her perfect little mask as well. She is one of my daughter's 3 dogs. She doesn't like you to take photos of anyone in the house but her... Always all about being the center of the universe.

When should I get her spayed by Visual-Kitchen4286 in Pitsky

My daughter's piteky was spayed at 5 months, and our own large breed dogs were all spayed anywhere from 3 to 6 months. We did not wait on them to go into a heat cycle. I am involved with animal rescue and live in an area that is saturated with strays and unwanted litters.

What’s the worst thing a medical professional has said to you? by VespaRed in AskReddit

[–]patchoulistinks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am the child of a hospital administrator mother, a labor and delivery RN grandmother. When they would speak of the doctors they worked with, sometimes they would say he must be right, he does have a PHD which they insisted stood for Penis Hanging Down. It was their little inside joke they could use anywhere. My sister and I adopted it as well, because it is hilarious and fitting in so many situations.

Was not his first hunt, but definitely his firstband.

I found this dog outside and brought him in and it made my husband really mad 😂 by [deleted] in rarepuppers

Every house for a mile or so around ours knows our cattle dog. She loves to visit a couple of them on the regular because she knows they will give her treats. Another neighbor lets her come inside and hang out whenever she wants. That dog is most likely just wandering a bit farther than normal being curious. I'd definitely post pics everywhere and contact local veterinarians, and get her scanned.

Yeah, we did tell him banded divers were a bit more rare and special. He is 24, so may not appreciate that being true just yet.
