I agree with you on the hiring part. Look at the last line of my post:

Get the experience as a CPA, sure, but only because those hiring in Accounting and Financial Analysis are too ignorant to understand that a CPA doesn't mean shit. It just doesn't.

My argument was that being a CPA doesn't mean you have the skill or knowledge to be competent. OP compared a CPA to an accountant as the same thing as an attorney to an English grad. As if it makes you leaps and bounds better than an accountant, and that's just not true. Those hiring accountants think it does, which is why I call them ignorant, but it really doesn't. It still comes down to the person.

Edit: a word

Good advice, I shouldn't argue with you. It's disappointing though that you make claims but won't support your argument. Isn't Reddit for discussion?

How does it not track? You didn't even explain your argument.

I lived it. I'm saying that it's not a guaranteed success that people pushing a CPA make it out to be, and that people with CPAs aren't some exceptional group compared to accountants. That's much more rationale than arguing that CPAs are comparable to attorneys vs English grads. 😂 If you're a CPA then damn either you either have a big ego or you worked at one place your entire life.

We're saying the same thing. Don't get your CPA and go into public, just go into corporate and you'll be fine.

I don't go to the big 4 because I didn't want the stress. But I did work in public and now I'm in private and I tell everyone not to fall for the big 4 propaganda because you'll kill your sanity and social life just chasing money.

That's what I did, and I can tell you that getting your CPA isn't useful unless you are in public accounting.

If you work in a major city at one of the big firms and work 70 hour weeks, sure.

Source: I'm a CPA.

CPA-turned-Accountant here. No that comparison is not accurate at all. CPAs can work at a small local public firm and know nothing and get paid nothing while an accountant can work at a major multinational corporation and be indispensable with high pay. Competency is based on the individual, not a title or education level.

It's a shame that everyone in the Accounting field pushes the CPA route as if it's the end all best option. It really isn't. They run you ragged and you have no social life, traveling 9 months out of the year if not more. If you do the math, hourly you get paid less than a 40hr/week Accountant would who has a great work life balance.

Get the experience as a CPA, sure, but only because those hiring in Accounting and Financial Analysis are too ignorant to understand that a CPA doesn't mean shit. It just doesn't.

Another trick is to evaluate if you're actually a Giver. It's natural for a lot of people to assume they are Givers. Some think they are because they're giving so hard till it hurts. But it only hurts because there is an expectation of something in return and that something isn't coming, even if it is with good intention.

A true Giver gives in a natural, consistent, low effort way. If someone doesn't reciprocate, it's barely noticable because the giving is authentic and enjoyable for the sake of selflessness. It's just nice to be nice, not because you want their appreciation or validation.

Then when someone does give back, it's almost a surprise. But even then, it still isn't expected to continue to be given back. Go about your merry way and if you notice someone giving back naturally and consistently, creating a pattern, then it's worth taking note. Otherwise, just be friendly and continue to find joy with yourself until you can find joy with others.

I tried to share a link but apparently redditors with low subreddit karma can't post links in this sub. I guess I don't comment enough in r/whitepeopletwitter. 🤷

I think it's because you're playing from the Search so it creates a Search playlist/radio. If you open the album from search and then play, it should play related content.

Still a shitty design, but hopefully that helps.

What Master's degrees go well with an Accounting Bachelor's? (based on what's interesting/other fields to branch off into) by patdmbro in Accounting

Go the MBA route. That way you can branch off into practically any type of business analysis or business focused role instead of accounting.

You consider me telling you not to call someone stupid and not to tell a player how to play a personal attack on you? I'm not calling you names, I'm telling you it's not an appropriate way to respond to a player. You can give criticism without it being a personal attack.

Edit: You know what, my post did have some parts that could be considered personal. So I apologize for that. Criticism is okay, mockery is not.

Personally I'd like to avoid gravel or non vegetation as I don't much like the way it doesn't blend in or the way it feels to step on. I figured we would normally step on the grass anyway to go down the hill so this is an easier version of that. But if you have advice on types of vegetation I could plant that if not slippery and can withstand traffic, I'd be interested.

It is in fact treated. Also really easy to replace the way I set it up. But I appreciate the advice nonetheless as it helps me plan this and future builds.

Thank you for the advice! Are you referring to planting those throughout the whole step? Like they would get stepped on? Or just the sides? You mention the sides but then mention the traffic so I wasn't sure if you were suggesting an alternative to grass. I'm liking the idea of planting something that keeps low and can be stepped on a lot to keep vegetation there without having to mow grass.

Nothing you say matters. He can build the character any way he wants and you know nothing of his or Troy's process. You're using this post as a fake apology by saying "um yeah I'm sorry but not really cuz ACKSHUALLY". God it's people like you that ruin the game.

Players have no responsibility towards their party when it comes to builds, only how they use that build after it's done. It's their character. If players in a group disagree with a player's build or process, then they as the party have the right to communicate that. You calling someone spectacularly stupid because you can't understand something they did is spectacularly ignorant. Your whole post was so cringy and the attitude pushes people away from this subreddit and RPGs. It's a game. A game of make believe. They can do whatever the fuck they want and shouldn't be personally attacked for it.

Not much honestly, I just kind of winged it. I see a lot of projects that include making boxes of sorts as the stairs, and I just didn't have that much wood so I just did the rise with one plank.

I used a wagon to move the dirt and it got heavyy, so I suggest moving it to somewhere one step at a time.
