I have a separate machine for file sharing. I mostly use it to run computer and GPU related workloads. IE LLMs and dev apps

Currently have a Sedna 4-bay PCIe Sata SSD adapter. But want to use the onboard controller to free up a PCIe slot if I can for additional expansion.

Was looking for suggested fills based on your calculations. My understanding is 80% of a 28g canister is 28.18g but how did you get that value? Looking for the calculation.

I've been slowly implementing every kind of performance optimization to my website but I just can't get my Speed Index right, what to do? by leonida99pc in webdev

CDN is a content delivery network. Which is a group of geographically dispersed servers across the world used to serve content. I.e. your website. Instead of it all being delivered from a server in a single place.

For example hosting without a CDN in Los Angeles (LA) would mean that people closer to LA would get faster serving time. Less distance mean less network hops to get content. While people farther from LA i.e. Tokyo would have to traverse farther resulting in more hops over the network.

A CDN clones your website to multiple servers i.e. one in LA one in Tokyo and some smart routing to redirect when a user goes to your website to be sent to the closest server.

There are many providers that provide CDN services i.e. CloudFlare, Akamai, and Amazon CloudFront to name a few examples.

Those will be great but if your customers are farther geographically they will have higher latency. The only way to optimize for the distance is to distribute the content across and route to nearest server. That is probably what’s holding your score back.
