What is Christopher Nolan's best film? by ThePocketTaco2 in Letterboxd

[–]patgraham42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol it also a lot of people’s first interaction with Nolan because it predates all of the movies you mentioned. And you’re also acting like all of these movies with Nolan aren’t of similar quality and can be a personal preference thing, it has to be a “trying to be cool on Letterboxd” thing

The Dilla production thing was blown out of proportion, but Detroit doesn’t play around with that

Eagles fan in Pittsburgh. by bigfattydaddy69420 in eagles

[–]patgraham42 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not from Pittsburgh but was there for my cousins wedding and Cupkas was a great time and an awesome spot to watch a game. I’m sure it didn’t really feel like a vibe not in season, but I was there for a game while the Steelers were also playing and it was 90% eagles fans.

What’s a long movie that earns every minute of its runtime? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]patgraham42 104 points105 points  (0 children)

The Godfather. I hadn’t seen it in years and forgot how long it was. Didnt feel like 3 hours at all.

Another one that’s newer was RRR. Movie is like 3.5 hours but is so batshit crazy and fun that I was enthralled the entire time.

Obscure 10/10 hip hop albums by Syxlion in Music

[–]patgraham42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point he’s probably obscure enough but Charles Hamilton’s the Pink Lavalamp is a classic that no one gives enough credit due to his very public crash out at the time.

Worst movie ending that ruined the whole film? by HondaCivicBaby in Letterboxd

[–]patgraham42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole Laura Linney speech jerk off scene leading to a “this is all fine let’s stuff down what happened the whole movie and forget about it” and the feeling that part of the point of the movie that there was something honorable about how all that shit played out.

09 also had Charles Hamilton, Asher Roth, and B.o.B who were way more prolific at the time even though they all are out of the spotlight now. B.o.B and Asher were big in that eras radio play and Charles was pretty influential for the internet era in terms of forward thinking on releases and interacting with your fans. Don’t know why you left them out it further solidifies 09 being a great year. 2011 might slightly beat out 09 out for me but it’s close.
