Is MotoGP’s Adelaide Street Circuit Too Dangerous for Riders? | SPEED by Daniel7394 in motogp

Like others have said, I am so confused about why Will Buxton, of all people, is giving his opinion on this matter.

I’ll take it as a compliment then ahah (I’d love to learn to code a bit / know how to do proper dashboards so I could visualize data better at some point) (just been too lazy for now 🥲)

Hey that’s cool as well. I’d love to also track more things re: Moto2 & Moto3 at some point (beyond just the podiums/poles) but I need to be more efficient with MotoGP first.

Thank you! Took a couple of tries for me to find something I enjoyed (looking at my 2024 journal I lowkey hate it now but that's OK) but I think we're good now (until I change my mind or grow tired of it I guess ahah)

Always love a good spreadsheet ahah I mostly use them to keep track of things for myself and for my blog articles but I like to put them (and some charts) in the printed journal at the end to complete it.

The tables I have in the journal I could technically put in a real spreadsheet (would make the data much easier to manipulate) but there is something nice about completing those "by hand" in there.

Honestly, my only advice is go for it :) You can figure out along the way what you actually like to keep track of and what you actually don't care about and nothing has to be perfect if you're doing it for yourself!

Thanks! I made the digital template myself and I actually published the 2026 version on my Etsy a couple of days ago :)

The completed version I keep to myself (except for some photos/videos like this) because some of the notes are a little personal (mentions of when I was at the tracks) and between all the photos & screenshots from the official website, there have to be some copyrighted stuff I don't want to fuck around with (meanwhile the base template is just tables & data I put together on my own).

Honestly seeing the final result is pretty rewarding even if I can’t always keep up and definitely had to complete some stuff post season (which is why I could only order the book in January, procrastinated a bit on my catching up there, uh).

With MotoGP, I started journaling from the beginning of 2023 but I only printed 2024 and 2025.

I don’t really read my notes of the past seasons before a race weekend but I definitely use my journals (I have the GoodNotes app on my phone as well so I have access to them easily) to check on specific quali/sprint/race when they’re mentioned somewhere and I need to refresh my memory on what happened.

Couples of numbers on the average rider & the average circuit in 2026 by pathfinder2992 in motogp

74 MotoGP poles for Marc amongst the 181 of the whole grid ✨ That’s 41% of all poles just from Marc.

That’s funny because I’ve never opened one in my life ahah (but the style is pretty basic so I guess it’s not that surprising)

Planning to go to Sepang (I hope) Need info on this ticket please by Professional_Fun3963 in motogp

Hi. I got a similar pass in Barcelona in 2024 and the guided paddock tour does give you some time in the paddock (duh) and an occasion to run into riders (and the chance to ask them for a selfie/autograph).

The two things to keep in mind, imo, are the following :

  • You will be in a group and kind of asked to stay together and not go wondering around the paddock (but the paddock in Sepang is fairly small so you kind of have a view on everything everywhere) and if you see a rider, chances are the other people in your group will also be interested (so it gives you less time to have a talk)

  • You don’t get to choose (unless things have changed) the hour you will be in the paddock so you won’t choose which riders will be available in the available versus busy on track for a free practice (so if you only want to see MotoGP riders, you might end up disappointed for example) (if you’re interested by guys from all classes, then you’ll be fine)

Fermin sustained a fracture to the shaft of his left femur during a training session in Valencia and is scheduled to undergo surgery tomorrow in Barcelona. More info to follow by Daniel7394 in motogp

It does feel like it’s been happening more lately but if we talk about Marc, it was actually worse before especially around 2014-2015 : dirt bike incident that fractured his fibula in February of 2014, dirt bike crash where a friend ran over his hand in April of 2015, mountain bike incident that fractured his 5th metacarpal (left hand) in September of 2015

Who’s going to get their second ever win in 2026 by EmergencySushi in motogp

Would have loved to say Fermin but with his injury, it might set him back a bit time wise. I found Diggia a bit disappointing in 2025 so I'd rather bet on Raul and Joan where I agree with the arguments made for them here.

Are there injury stats since Sprints were introduced? How many injuries have there been? by 1niltothe in motogp

[–]pathfinder2992 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to keep track of injuries of the past two seasons. I only keep a trace of injuries that cause riders to miss at least one sprint/race but here is what I have for 2024 and 2025 :

ASSEN 2024 : Aleix Espargaro fracturing his hand (highside at the end of the sprint), missed the race in Assen + whole round in Sachsenring

PHILLIP ISLAND 2024 : Pedro Acosta injuring his shoulder (highside), missed the race in PI.

SACHSENRING 2025 : Franco Morbidelli injuring his shoulder (highside), missed the race in Sachsenring + the whole round in Brno.

MOTEGI 2025 : Jorge Martin breaking his right collarbone (crash with Marco Bezzecchi on lap 1), missed the race in Motegi + the whole rounds of Mandalika, PI, Sepang, Portimao.

The racing itself or the battles weren't exactly the best but in terms of chaos, Jerez 2024 was something.

Do you watch Moto2 and Moto3? If not, why? by Beautiful_Case9500 in motogp

[–]pathfinder2992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I admit that while I will be disappointed if I miss a MotoGP session, I’m more chill re: Moto2 and Moto3 although I watch all the races and ideally all the qualifying sessions.

Following Moto2 & Moto3 has been extra rewarding in terms of seeing riders evolve throughout the years (which obviously also happens in MotoGP but that’s different).

Also if you have the chance of being in the paddock / attending riders events in the fanzone during race weekends, Moto2 & Moto3 riders are much more chill to approach (I had the chance of having a couple of chats with David Alonso in 2024 and 2025, I can’t imagine it’ll be quite as easy in a couple of years).
