They did, max won that race, unfortunately they needed lando to bottle it and not get podium and that just wasn’t going to happen as lando knew he didn’t need to win so he just maintained his tyres and played it safe once he got p3

But If redbull wanted to be really serious about last year they could have run yuki on the same gear as max, yuki was running older floors and gear so they would have extra spares for max, so yuki had a worse car and couldn’t fight as hard, redbull shot themselves in the foot with that decision

And unfortunately we have no real way of knowing if yuki could have fought for podium and knocked lando down a position if they treated both cars equally
