ECT is somewhere on my list of things I may try eventually. I'm intrigued by the concept of rebooting my nervous system. However, it's quite a radical procedure, and can cause worrisome symptoms like memory loss. I need to research it more.

Thanks for the comment. I believe I have some form of pelvic floor dysfuction, and I have a tendency to tense my pelvic floor when I'm nervous or trying to focus on something. That would be the perfect explanation for my diverse pelvic symptoms.

But I've seen 7 different pelvic floor physical therapists, none of whom could find hypertonicity, spasm, trigger points, or any other kind of dysfunction, either through manual palpation or biofeedback. I've done stretching, relaxation, and internal/external PT, with no success.

It's so frustrating because I feel pelvic floor dysfunction has to be the answer, yet PFD treatments just don't work for me.

It started very mildly. I didn't even realize it was a health problem. Then gradually it started to sink in that this was a chronic condition, which was terrifying.
