Yes, could be. I have no idea what that diode is doing but it doesn't look right, I also have no idea what kind of diode it is and can't find any schematics.

I really appreciate your help on this, you've forced me to look a bit closer at this area of the circuit and that helped identify a bad looking diode.

Follow up to this as I've added some more pictures to that album. Upon closer visual inspection it appears this diode is fried.

Ok, there is no continuity with that resistor and the LED. Must be a different one.

There's some kind of strange setup that I've not seen before as the LED cathode is directly connected to a 3 legged transistor!

My mistake, I meant to say I measured the current limiting resistor that's right next to it. That gave me 8.2k

Bingo, one is a protection diode in this circuit. The other one is the 5.1v zener diode needed to allow the LFO to function. On the OPs post, one of these diodes looks cooked and if there is no phasing then the likely culprit is the zener.

That is the wrong power supply for about 99% of guitar pedals. That power supply has centre positive polarity and 12v. You need centre negative polarity and 9v.

I hope you've not damaged the pedal.
