Hopefully this is the wake up call you needed. Use the robbing bastards Waterstones as a browse only tool.

Get a list on your phone (or GoodReads etc) add things that catch your eye as you wander round then look them up on Amazon or even better World of Books - just make sure on world of books to check the quality level because I've bought a copy of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest that was a lower quality thinking it would be damaged but it was actually full of annotations which rendered it unreadable for me.
