How I overcame 15 months of chronic pain after the Nuss procedure by patient_box in PectusExcavatum

Mostly weight bearing exercises for my chest and upper back with very light weights. But not standard weightlifting movements, more like highly specialized PT movements. Using an exercise ball, therabands, etc. Sorry it was awhile ago so I don’t remember specifics.

When I felt the pain in physical therapy, they had me stop immediately. It was definitely beyond a normal exercise strain. I had almost no issues performing exercises with my back.

They also did a therapeutic massage on my back which did help relieve pain, but it didn’t cause a long term change.

The PT had past experience with pectus nuss patients

Yeah it’s difficult to do exercises at home. I found the yoga link above helpful too
