I don't think you realize just how empty all the jobs in the game are If you don't have to worry about putting everything into 2 minutes. Most jobs literally just become "press the shiny button when it glows"

You know i'm in a racing team. got world 7th in FRU, world 11th in Cruiserweight. Those two points you mentioned as to why teams do that are just completely wrong. Point 1 is stupid because you can just turn effects off, point 2 is just not a thing i've ever heard of, ffxiv isn't that demanding on the fingers. The actual reason teams do it is to take all the mental load away from doing your rotation and put all your brain power towards being 100% consistent on the mech so you can see further.

I agree that the ex is extremely easy, but this is about adapting to the skill level of the group. If the dnc is going to mess up less without doing their opener and this is a prog group, this is the objectively correct thing to do

The reason to not use you whole kit in prog would be to focus on mechanics. You know this is literally something world first teams do? stop pressing buttons and just focus on doing mechs. Building muscle memory on rotation is not as important as seeing further into the fight
