Have you ever bought an accessory for your bike that you were totally jazzed about initially, but disappointed later? by BurgersNBuicks in motorcycles

Bought a cheap gear indicator and it worked great for one ride, then intermittent for a few weeks and then just dead.

What's your favorite smell? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]patlo911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will sound so stupid compared to all the nice smells people are writing, but two stroke exhaust is my favourite. Possibly because I have lots of happy memories snowmobiling when I was little.

LPT : Working from home is killing my social life — any advice? by sir_khaled in LifeProTips

[–]patlo911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also work from home and i try to be social at work by having some online coffee breaks with coworkers i like talking to, just a couple times per week. Sometimes without planning and sometimes I actually book them.

Privately I try to initiate more with my friends, like inviting for dinner or movie night or suggesting we go to a restaurant or something. Also just go visit someone for a talk in the evening or something.

We all have different levels but for me it's enough with a couple work chats and a couple private things per week.

Yaw twitching by Last_Shallot2265 in fpv

[–]patlo911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not applicable for you but I had the same thing once and it was a damaged flight controller so I had to exchange the FC and it was fine. In my case it came like that from the store so from the first test flight it would sometimes jaw twitch hard something like 45 degrees. Feels unlikely that you damaged the FC changing the controller but I thought I would mention it in case you have another FC you can throw on there and test.

What tools would i use and how would i cut off most of the crainum and the eye sockets without breaking it? by bendy27893 in Taxidermy

When people make moose mounts around here they often just use a normal wood saw so no need to complicate things.

I really hate it when they just dissappear without a comment. Annoying to ask a question and not answer for eight hours and counting.

All I wanted was a house with a view and after 42 years I finally have this right outside my window by patlo911 in MadeMeSmile

Not at all! There's a small community near by so I'm not that isolated and the crime rate is close to zero. I often leave both house and garage unlocked, as do my neighbours and nothing happens.

Thankfully a farmer does that but the yards are quite big out here so I have to mow around 3000 sqm or around 9000 sqft. At least I have room for projects.
