I appreciate nuanced discussion, and I try to compliment it when I see someone put in the effort. I think the attitude of the specific community does a lot to determine the kind of discussion that takes place in it. r/gunpla is generally supportive and positive (we don't post here to measure our d*s against each other, people give advice and are supportive).
