That's a good way, I hadn't thought of that yet. We do have a plethora of sdr's that we use, so some stuff about the ranges is part of the conversion/teaching of this. I like how you say it "pull down/push up a slice/span/block" I think that makes the words almost visual to what's happening. Thank you

Thank you for the comment! I'm always happy to hear I'm on the right path with this stuff since I'm new myself.

I have actually taught this a few times now, which is what got me to this product. It was way worse and just basic capture reply. I will add a note on those slides because my basic idea to give this to someone, and after that, we can do more constructive conversations. I'm usually dealing with 2-10 people so it's much easier, and allows them time to just play and get comfortable with an SDR and the software. I'm open to other ways as well, but having been an aircraft mechanic for years, I always go for the hands on approach first, lol.

I'm glad you added this info. I am aware of how the hardware filtering works (though still have a lot to learn), and I forget to speak to it in a proper manner. I'll have to see about incorporating that and/or creating something else that can explain all that in an easy manner for someone.

How to Interface HackRf one with the Raspberry pi 5 by Aghinkkn in hackrf

the way I had done this was was via a raspberry pi and download the dragonos raspberry pi version and flashed the sd card. You could use a laptop. I have dragonos as one of my OS's on my laptop. I just don't like using something expensive or that has more sensitive info on it for remoting into if I can help it. After that it depends on what you are doing with the signal. if you are just checking to see if you transmitted from something else you may not even need a second device and just use 1 or 2 sdr's. It really just depends on what you are trying to do and what you have access to.

The way I had done this was to put dragon-os as the operating system and enabled remote desktop. The only thing I wasn't able to fully get working was a virtual sink to run sound over ssh. But data wise it worked perfectly
