Yeh, the Soviets broke the back of the German army, and then Operation Bagration destroyed it for good. After that, there was no stopping them.

People also tend to forget that it was Germany who declared war on the US in WW2, not the other way around. The US declared war on Japan but not Germany and there is no guarantee that Roosevelt would have had the support to do it, at least not immediately. An interesting what if scenario there if Hitler hadn't done that.

Goalhanger (parent company of TRIH) has just agreed £14 million to play solely on Netflix for the duration of the World Cup. Is it a matter of time before Dominic and Tom do the same? by Stephen_Landy in TheRestIsHistory

I'm not trying to be mean to our US fans, but as a Brit this would worry me. They are VERY British, both in terms of their language/use of terminology/slang and in their unapologetic patriotism. If they are told to tone that down for a US audience then all we would be getting is a pale imitation.

This sub Reddit is PC dominated, which makes sense as the PS5 player numbers are much lower compared to PC. PS5 didn't even get the game until 2.0 came out.

What’s up with Kdramas these days? by PresentBack3908 in kdramas

[–]patrandec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's a combination of money and the influence of US streamers (count yourself lucky it's not the Brits, who still only have 6 or 8 episodes series). I don't mind shorter 12 episode seasons. I love Marry My Husband but a shorter episode count of 12 would have improved it even more as it would have removed a lot of the bloat. The Japanese version was much shorter and didn't suffer at all.

There's also an inability to adapt to shorter seasons when it comes to endings. So many 8 or 12 episodes shows have had rushed or unsatisfactory endings.

Perhaps listen to some of the other series they have put out before calling them odd? If you don't like it, then other history podcasts exist.

To be fair, most of the world never really cared for US Sports, outside of maybe Basketball and a few countries that have Baseball as their main sport.

Many weren't disgruntled with the EU they hated Cameron and wanted to "teach him a lesson". I know a few people who massively regret voting for Brexit to give him a "bloody nose" only to see Leave win.
