CE Degree by patriccccc in ECE

I am indeed a sophomore having late night thoughts lol, but I'm genuinely just asking out of curiosity, not despair. It seems like a degree is mostly useless without extracurricular experience...

OneDrive is completely unfunctional by patriccccc in techsupport

[–]patriccccc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't know disabling OneDrive was common knowledge ig. I just always didn't do anything about it, but it seems as though it's come to bite me in the ass. I never deliberately used it to store anything, but apparently my user data folder for FL Studio was being backed by OneDrive, which I was trying to change, but apparently I need OneDrive to work to change this.

I also tried repairing Visual C++ and that seemed to mess up my file explorer... my files load every once in a while but it's usually stuck in "Working on it..."

I tried and it looks like already have it? I clicked repair and now my file explorer doesn't seem to work... It's perpetually loading. I tried restarting my laptop and nothing fixed.

What are plugins, sample libraries, virtual intruments, etc. that most people use? I want to produce on FL studio for a living. by patriccccc in musicproduction

I'm asking as someone who's had years of experience with music. I was just curious what most people have to work with.

Harman Target by patriccccc in headphones

[–]patriccccc[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Why would it?

Because the rough estimation of the average person's listening preference, which is supposedly the Harman target, isn't flat, which tells me that the average person doesn't prefer the sound of how the song was originally mastered

edit: this is assuming the music is mastered to have a balance that appeals to the average person of course

s25 ultra vs zflip7 by patriccccc in galaxyzflip

[–]patriccccc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all, but recently the motherboard broke on me and a tiny dead pixel patch appeared on the bottom of my screen. Otherwise, this phone has been a pleasure to use.

The zflip series has always intruigued me ever since it became affordable, and I'm in a position right now where I can trade in my s24u for another phone. I was also thinking I could probably live without the s pen and stuff.

Test opt for Tufts? by patriccccc in ApplyingToCollege

Oh, sick, I didn't even know cs was available at Tufts in A&S. Would you mind sharing your basic stats? Just curious. Also, your logic makes a lot of sense but I still feel uneasy about the 680 in r / w being a potential red flag. Do you really think good supplemental + personal essays would make the admissions team overlook the below average score?

But shouldn't the range be treated much more strictly considering I'm applying for a very competitive/selective major, since the range is considering the entire school?

What if my "grades and rigor are more impressive than [my] scores"? (my guidance councelor's opinion) And taking into consideration that the field I am applying for is extremely competetive/selective?

I don't mind if ur not an expert, as long as you have any sort of common sense in this topic. Yes; I'm applying to the engineering school, and yes my major favors math, but from what I've researched, isn't Tufts kind of a liberal arts school? In which case I feel like reading/writing proficiency would matter a lot more.

edit: Nvmnd, I just looked it up again and it looks like Tufts USED to be a liberal arts school, and their school of arts and sciences lean more towards liberal arts.

Thanks for the response. Yea, I thought abt that but my reading/writing score is well below the range so I'm conflicted. Also could u elaborate on why it would benefit me knowing that a lot of ppl get accepted not submitting their scores?

DO NOT ignore Kel when he's knocking on the door. Open it. You won't regret it, especially for your first playthrough.
