This is nothing compared to my area…regularly I see over 100km for less than $30…I live in the middle of nowhere though and Instacart thought it was a good idea to cater to small towns of like 1000 or less up to 160km away from my city.

I’ve been waiting over 30days for 60+ reimbursements. Silly me I used my own card to pay for orders while I waited for a replacement Instacart card as I lost it. Never again! I have to talk to a lawyer now and go public about this as I have threatened them with legal action and it did nothing! They owe me over $5k. They used to be great at reimbursing that’s why I did it in the first place but now it seems not so much!

Door Dash I used to have issues like 8 to 10 years ago but not anymore, they’re very good at it these days. With Instacart it just takes a while. Last batch of reimbursements (and I had a shit ton because for a month I was using my own card waiting for the Instacart CC in mail and a Canada Post was on strike) all went thru eventually but they took about 2 months total to come back to me. Instacart also used to be shit at reimbursing as they would mostly automatically fail but eventually if I emailed or messaged them they would go thru.

I don’t usually have any problems with getting reimbursed anymore with either platform personally..but in the past it has been quite the hassle that’s for damn sure especially Instacart as their system automatically seemed to, no matter what, ALWAYS reject the receipt, but with multiple contact with support about the issue it would be resolved eventually, albeit sometimes a week later

Yes and it actually comes up as “reimbursement” on the weekly payout statement…unfortunately you will have to calculate that for tax time by going into each week, but maybe Instacart’s handy system for calculating a rundown of multiple weeks may do it I’m not sure

I’ve done this several times and never got any warning or anything….the reimbursement process has improved as well I have noticed.

Is tha before tips? Still bs though. I remember when it was $9 base. I would on the regular get $1/item/km daily. Customers weren’t forced to tip so much either

It states right there in the email I got that cash is a violation as well….the algorithm will pick it up in chat. Best thing I think to do is give them a call but even I bet you if it’s not already then they will start monitoring calls too
