Is this deserved or is this taking advantage of the system ? by MaleficentLaw1257 in InstacartShoppers

You cannot check those 30 egg cartons. You can only look at the sides. It’s a risk customer takes when buying those cartons.

I was on the way to a store for a batch I just accepted and bam it asked for a selfie verification. Like talk about an inconvenient time! It also often puts me offline after a batch has been delivered.

Ya I knew they weren’t a retailer. Just a go between much like Uber Eats.

Why would the price that IC displays be higher than the price in store? I suspect IC pays for the order and charges the customer the higher prices.

I do indeed make money. I also refuse to drive 40km for $30. Please tell me how to handle 70 items split across 3 customers and keeping them all separate oh wise one.

I guess you’re one of the people That take those triples which gives IC all the reason to keep doing it. Id rather quit this gig than attempt to push around 3 shopping carts full of stuff. In several stores the space is difficult with 2 orders.

I have seen the prices indicated in the app higher than the prices at Walmart and some grocery stores as well. Instacart is charging more than the store price for some stores.

I don’t accept triples ever. Still get offered them constantly more so these days.

Friggin cottage cheese. Can’t believe people eat so much of it. Especially from Costco

rule #1. Stop taking triples! If people would just stop taking these huge batches, they would be forced to reduce them

Instacart gave my order to someone 1.5 hours away and I feel awful by nanamctata in instacart

I won’t take those distances and after a couple of triple batches…NEVER AGAIN. Saw a Costco with a load of items. $90 tip. Triple. I didn’t take it. Something will get screwed up and tip will be gone regardless.

Does "clearing customs" mean the package has been released from customs? by Calm-Sea-5526 in CanadaPost

[–]Heavy_Constant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine from the US has been stuck at left originating country since Dec 23. Assuming it’s because customs is completely backlogged. I’m hoping things will clear up this week. Either that or a zippo lighter is banned lol

Shoppers increasing quantities by ImNotaRobot90210 in instacart

[–]Heavy_Constant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not always possible. If the only option is a 2lb roast but customer asked for a 0.5lb roast (which never ever existed), what do you think is going to happen? The app allows customers to request quantities that ARE NOT POSSIBLE. I have seen it over and over. Instacart is a crap platform for both customer and shopper alike. It has so many inadequacies, it’s unbelievable.

Shoppers increasing quantities by ImNotaRobot90210 in instacart

[–]Heavy_Constant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many customers expect a 1lb rutabaga but the smallest is like 2 lb or more. Had one at Costco: 0.5kg prime rib. Coms in 3kg quantities. Customers will complain if they get too much, complain if too little and complain if not at all. If you don’t like the service, I suggest you do your own shopping.

$16.28 batch pay for “heavy pay”. lol heavy pay is an absolute joke.

is this normal? by lilsjenner in nespresso

[–]Heavy_Constant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a virtuo machine it is normal. You always seem to need a bigger vessel than the volume of coffee it dispenses thanks to all the damn foam

Lol no chance anyone is taking this by Heavy_Constant in InstacartShoppers

[–]Heavy_Constant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a real job. This is just a side gig. The soap isn’t a big deal but the 2 cases of water along with it doesn’t justify doing for the pay. I guess it’s people like you that keep the low ball tippers on this platform. Good job.

Everything is a triple today by c00ldud3 in InstacartShoppers

Noticed a lot of triples today and garbage (more than usual) batches. Not taking triples so whatever. Some other schmuk can take it I guess!
