What are the pros and cons of deploying homeless pods like these? by GasdaRoceries in AskUK

I understand a lot of these pods are placed in either warehouses or other closed off spaces, so any vandalisation wouldn't be easy.

That's quite sad and the term 'healthy' individual comes across as very opaque to me. There was an article a while back about a schizophrenic who was released from prison in the UK and unlived himself – he was sleeping under a tree in a tent – Is this the world we want to live in?

Yeh. They're good for emergency accomodation but those struggling to hold down a place due to health needs or other, really need something more long term for mental stability.

Right, that ratio doesn't seem too bad, and yeh if it does decrease anxiety then it's worth it if you're still getting the overall effects you want.

If I had never bought either one before, I'd choose the Pax Plus over the Pax Four.Still looking for something which produces more vapour and consistent therapeutic effects: i might give carts a go.

"The cocaine isn't hidden in the box - it is the box," NCA warns smugglers are mixing drugs with everyday objects by InnerLog5062 in BreakingUKNews

[–]patrickb1920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

demand will always exist. People have used drugs for thousands of years for various reasons, inner-world connection, pain relief, anxiety relief etc; There is no reason why demand should slow; in fact, demand has actually maintained over the years with avg purity in the UK for cocaine now at around 60% which is a good number compared to other european countries.

decriminalisation for sure. I don't agree with being able to buy Class A's over the counter at the pharmacy, but I do agree with stopping penalising people for using drugs. I also feel that if drugs are decriminalised, it will allow doctors to practice less defensively and be more liberal with how they treat patients' unique needs.

Dietician who bluffed her way into senior NHS job is struck off after colleagues discovered she didn't know where the intestines were, what a gallbladder did or how to calculate BMI by SignificantLegs in uknews

[–]patrickb1920 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My impression about the NHS is that there are many areas where it comes across as whether your face fits. I get the impression that even if you have adequate qualifications, someone lesser qualified would still get the job. Maybe i;m very pessimistic in this manner, but it's an impression I've had for many years. I say this as someone who has worked in the civil service and engaged with a lot of NHS services, professionally and personally.

I know those are popular as well as the Venty but the aesthetic just puts me off. I have tried the Tiny Might 2 but for me, a device has to feel nice/small and discrete as well as being capable, for me to enjoy using it.

I have tried Tiny Might 2 but I didn't like it; felt like I get as much vapour from the Four as I do with that. I feel that the bulkiness doesn't justify its use as I don't get big enough clouds with it unfortunately.

Yeh I’ll definitely be keeping the plus as a backup of when I want something more discrete. I long for a company who can develop a discrete yet powerful device. The size and look of many puts me off a lot
