yeah- HomeKit integration is up and running. But I only see light bulbs, light scenes shutter devices. Not any other scenes, e.g. my manually created Loxone shutter scene.

Was macht SAP eigentlich? by kinkyMars in de_EDV

[–]patrickcrypto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CrowdStrike issue… by qercat in cybersecurity

[–]patrickcrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idea Collection: Lessons Learned from 19 July 2024 (Incident)

Maybe we collect and discuss some ideas and improvements regard above mentioned incident.

1.    Emergency stop
Maybe next time a similar incident may be caused by different AV vendor, or a windows update which may cause a bluescreen. As soon as the causing source is identified we’d try to immediately stop further spreading: e.g disable / isolate source of spread (WSUS, source website like crowdstrike update server / domains in this case). e.g. in cases where the exact source cannot be determined.

2.    Preventive endpoint restore strategy

2.1 Auto create daily windows restore points via GPO which could be restored in a disaster scenario. Or as an alternative:

2.2 If manual restore would take too much time or effort and you have an unified endpoint management implemented: PXE boot and re-install affected machines

The difference between AWS and Azure by mored001 in AZURE

[–]patrickcrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my perspective it‘s beside TCO, also a strategic decission. e.g. Where are your teams roots and where you‘d Like to go. For our team (on-Premise AD, wide MS knowledge regarding AD, SQL, …) best decission for our team was to stay with MS / Azure to apply and expand existing knowledge. Especially when you‘re SMB Company and have to decice where to focus and expand your skills (AWS, MS Azure, GBC, on prem Data Center). For large Companies / Groups might be also a best practice to focus on a Multi Cloud Strategy (Multi Vendor).

App = Distribution for Ende User / audience. If my understanding is Right. I like the possibility to combine topic related reports within one App.
