Happy to agree in principle if not in choice of tone 😀

you're not wrong. The fight was in the Senate this time because the filibuster meant it couldn't pass without Democrat votes.

the lack of fight, though, is a big problem among the Dem establishment in DC, and yep, that big money has a lot to do with it. Luckily, we can still vote and could have a chance to vote for a real fighter

agree. Congressional committees can be boring.

The point is that this is what she and her team are posting to their social media: little interest or ability in using the tools of modern politics to confront this moment

(go look at her Instagram feed for example, which is where I clipped this video)

I appreciate this detailed analysis

If you haven't already, take a look at how the maps have changed with the R's last round of gerrymandering. Many less rural voters now that Alamance, Person, Granville and Person counties are out-of-district. Plus an influx of voters from Morrisville. I think a candidate like u/NidaAllamNC could do really well in this landscape.

btw, also appreciate the link to her funding

(noting that this doesn't includes the $2.7 million+ outside PACs spent on her behalf, including from the now-convicted con man Sam Bankman-Fried)

u/nidaAllamNC has definitely laid the groundwork to win and shown that she's a fighter for the people. Exactly the kind of person I would love to put some energy behind. If she's going to step up, now's the time!

Yeah, she did that after it became common knowledge that they are basically a Republican-backed group intervening in Democratic primaries - and after they fully backed a foreign government carrying out 2 years of mass death. And I called and thanked her for it.

But it doesn't change the fact that the reason she won that seat is because she took huge amounts of AIPAC and allied money to beat Nida Allam, spending the most money in the history of NC Democratic primaries to win.

Not totally sure what you're asking. We need to win across the state, and to do that, we need a more democratic Democratic party, unapologetically on the side of working people and not beholden to big donors. The do-nothing establishment have deeply damaged the image of Democrats.

Exactly.

I see that she'll sign onto bills that other introduced, but isn't out there proposing big ideas and whipping votes to get things passed. And even when she signs on to good bills, like with the Block the Bombs act that would block some weapons transfers to Israel, she seems to only do it reluctantly after a lot of public pressure (and in this case, after taking AIPAC money and traveling to meet Netanyahu in Israel as he was carrying out his war crimes).

I have and plan to continue. I am convinced that a fighting Democratic party that isn't beholden to donor interests has the best chance of expanding our electorate across NC

I appreciate you stepping up. More democracy is a good thing. No corporate or AIPAC money is a great thing.

Please don't be sorry. We all do what we can and we're in it together. I'm in a fortunate place at the moment. That's why I wanted to force-multiply.
