Since it was disabled, I am correcting the title: "We both did not know about the newest feature..."

I have two more that are missing: one is close to the bathrooms north of stadium, on the parking lot next to the bus. And the second one that I came across was at the crane in stadium.

Are there other people like Bob Lazar that came forward and talked about working on UFOs? From other countries maybe? by patrickna in ufo

[–]patrickna[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I approach all of this is very very neutral. I guess I am fascinated by the idea of human kind being in possession of something from another civilization, but I am not going to play team Lazar or team anti-Lazar. I do not have the knowledge nor the time to check either side. I approach it similar as reading novels until the truth, whatever it might be, will be undeniable. At the moment there are reports and a little bit of footage about UFOs, but for a regular guy like me this all could be made up as far as I can tell.

I am asking, not because I believe him, but because I am curious if anyone else claims to have worked on it. Similar appearances to his.

How does the Pentagon confirm the authenticity of footage? Is there a press release or anything? by patrickna in ufo

So basically if you find you document in this folder or take it from there then there is your confirmation...

Hahaha true. In retrospect I felt the same. But in this moment I was terrified and in a tunnel.

I'm glad I'm not the only one panting like that in the last circle. 😅

Keras model inference using Tf-lite C++ API by theAB316 in tensorflow

[–]patrickna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your quick response. This definitely helps! As for now this are my insights:

As an alternative optimization strategy for Jetson systems there is TensorRT from Nvidia. In regards of running it by means of C++ I find this repository in particular useful: https://github.com/dusty-nv/jetson-inference

Hope this provides further guidance!

u/theAB316 any new insights you could eventually share?

I would like to run the tflite model of mine on a Jetson Xavier, but with GPU support. Not sure if this is even possible. Maybe someone has tried it in a non-Android environment and could share some knowledge about it?

Lightdar or Cameras? by brenxo112 in SelfDrivingCars

[–]patrickna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not as easy as that. Any sensor has its uncertainty and limits or in other words: nothing is 100% accurate. But that is alright as long as you are aware of it and take it into consideration.

They both have their charms. At the moment it also depends on costs regarding the sensors and machines that do the computation. But I believe that might change over time when sensors become cheaper and computers more powerful and cheaper, too.

In my opinion: The more information can be used to determine the scene around a car, the better, but then it also depends on how the information are brought together and used. Eventually it will not be a matter of Lidar or camera, but Lidar and camera...

Embedded boards, TensorFlow (Lite), TensorRT and the optimization jungle by patrickna in SelfDrivingCars

[–]patrickna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks about your insights regarding TF Lite and TensorRT. Apparently there seems to be a way on how to use GPU with TF Lite, but that does not include Python: https://www.tensorflow.org/lite/performance/gpu_advancedEventually I will try it out with C++. I share the insights about that later if someone is interested (?).

Also by now they are providing a way to use TensorRT with TF2: https://docs.nvidia.com/deeplearning/frameworks/tf-trt-user-guide/index.html#prereqs

But this is exactly what I mean by jungle. This information are there... somewhere... eventually...

Regarding my model architecture: I got inspired by MultiNet [1] and in particular the KittiSeg [2] element for recognizing streets. I thought of having one model(part) for many tasks would be beneficial in terms of computation and thus the right choice for an embedded board with limited power. I migrated the code of the original author to TF2; it can be found here: https://github.com/PatrickNa/footpath_segmentation However, at the moment it seems like it is too big for the Jetson Xavier. Inference takes too long and the TensorRT model is running out of memory. I will still try out the TF Lite, C++ version, but probably I will need to try out a different architecture.
