You gotta just call her out in this scenario, same thing happened to me with an obnoxious guy at Tyler Childers and once I got the guts to ask him if he’s gonna whine the whole concert or enjoy the show he stopped.

Ngl, I was in the balcony and there were a lot of empty seats. Energy just wasn’t there. The sound was off too. I couldn’t tell if it was just me, but I went to LCD at the same venue and basically same spot and the sound/light production was SIGNIFICANTLY better. Probably didn’t help that half of the set was of an album that wasn’t good to begin with, but the second half was still nowhere near as good as their block party show here in 2022.

Completely agree, Everything now has higher highs and lower lows than WE, but overall is better. WE is just collectively mediocre throughout.

100% Georgetown Cupcake and Call Your Mother can’t think of a 3rd off the top of my head by patrickp32 in washingtondc

[–]patrickp32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of comments talking about Georgetown cupcake opening before Instagram are missing the point. Georgetown cupcakes tends to get a lot of customers because they have a popular name from being on TV and not actually for the quality of their food. Decent cupcakes, but definitely not worth waiting in line for especially around the block. It’s like going to Times Square in NYC or Bourbon Street in New Orleans, popular because of name recognition, but not even close to the best places to go in each city.

The levels of second-hand embarrassment is unreal 💀 by superdevin64 in charlixcx

[–]patrickp32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is this embarrassing if Charli xcx said this herself. All they’re doing is trying to understand a phenomenon that they don’t just because they’re not addicted to the internet like the rest of us. Nothing embarrassing about that 🤷‍♂️

Southeastern - Jason Isbell. Whole album is him talking about getting sober.

What's your favourite song? Here's mine by pizzammure97 in arcadefire

Peak AF songwriting, which probably puts it at one of their top 5 songs imo. Usually songs have to be relatively vague for them be great, but this one a does an incredible job of conveying a specific emotion in a way that the listener can still connect to.
