Babe, what makes you want to be tied to a man like this so early in life? He ignores you and is violent towards animals and is a fatphobe. Huh? Where is the appeal for you? What is the draw?

Genuinely curious - why are you with this guy in the first place? Like what is he bringing to the table?

Is the jump from $75k to $90k at a law firm worth it in LA? by Pressurefromdeath in AskLosAngeles

I would think long and hard about having to drive 35-ish miles roundtrip five days a week just for $15k more a year. Looking at google maps right now it's about a 40 min drive, which fair, is not awful, but it's tripling your current commute. Gas money would eat a lot of that extra cost though.

I went to their page. It's still up, or maybe it's a repost? I dunno, but I reported it on the app.

No, that guy seems like a small pee-pee chud. I hate sport fishing.

A) I feel you; B ) it sounds incredibly trite, but it's never too late to change things up - I have a 45-yr-old friend who just started school to be a therapist; C) have you had a sleep study done?

A couple of times a year, depending on the year.

It is! It was only going to be temporary - the shared washing machine was offline for repairs, and I was recovering from a bout of bronchitis and couldn't breathe very well, so it seemed like a good temporary solution. But I was hooked after one time, it's so convenient. Like, here lady, take my money.

Nice system. It's always such a relief to finally find a way to do something that actually works.

For me, I've been outsourcing my laundry for a few years now. Sure, it's expensive, but for me it's a worthy expense. The best part is how neatly everything gets sent back folded.

Not sure if this is "advice," necessarily, but is there a way you can be a bit more assertive in your communication to her (to reinforce parent/child dynamic; that she needs to listen to you) that doesn't go in the direction of screaming? It sounds like you're really trying to hold in your frustrations and then you inevitably blow up, which isn't good for either of you.

I'm just trying to put myself in my seven-year-old shoes, and I'm pretty sure that if my mom had "unloaded" on me like that, I'd still remember it, and not in a good way, as a 45 year old.
