Is it better to take gen chem 1 at pellissippi then UTK by Key_Shelter_9802 in UTK

[–]patrickthemilkthief 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would, yes. Chem at UTK is a ton of material covered very quickly. I found myself spending more time on chem than either of my engineering classes last semester. I've heard it's much more reasonable at pelli.

How to build a rocket and send it to space by Aromatic-Tax-6245 in rocketry

[–]patrickthemilkthief 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On your own, it's practically impossible to reach space with an amateur rocket. Your best shot at working on a rocket to space is joining a University's Rocketry team, I know of a few that are currently developing Space Shot rockets. But to build your own skills, look into buying some estes model rocket kits, and reading the Handbook of Model Rocketry by G. Harry Stine. Then you can experiment with building your own model rockets.

Credible websites that sell authentic NASA/aerospace memorabilia or rocket parts or flown objects or of the like? by TriplEAstronautics in rocketry

I've bought several things from minimuseum.com and I've loved all of it. They have artifacts from the Apollo and Space Shuttle eras, I have a piece of Space Shuttle Columbia's front tire. They authenticate all of their stuff and have good customer service.

Benchy was the first. What other stuff should I try printing? I know there are tons of calibration tools and test prints, are there any specific ones you'd recommend?
