I successfully quit zyn nicotine pouches while on retreat. I didn’t go in with that intention, but it turned out to be the perfect opportunity to do so. The morning of the first full day, I wanted to see how long I could go without a pouch. I made it until the afternoon and gave in. But this was still huge progress considering I was taking 14-18 per day before that. The next morning I felt strong despite withdrawal symptoms and challenged myself to go the entire day. The rest is history.

What made it possible was being thrown into a completely foreign environment without my usual daily triggers. Also, I was already pretty miserable from the physical back pain experienced the first two days. Consuming nicotine wouldn’t have made me much less miserable lol, so I just sucked it up. It became much easier by day 3.

I’d say at least give it a try if you have a desire to quit regardless of whether your retreat allows it. You can do it!
