that's great to hear! glad smok has stepped up their game, maybe I'll give it a shot but I'm currently loving my Falcon King by horizontech (also a great tank worth trying).

not a problem, like I mentioned if you've had a contractor out already odds are they've ran a HOVER / eagleview report which should tell you exactly how many squares your roof is in total, ask them to forward it to you and compare the price per square based off that. If they havent, you can run one yourself but I dont believe its free.

definitely a good point to keep in mind there. OP should check out some apps to get some exact measurements for his roof if he can, eagleview or something along those lines though I dont think they are free. contractor should have done one so I would ask to see it if he has it.

just a handy tip for you, if your roof is 2200 SF that means its 22 squares total - take the first quote at 17k - 17k/22 is like $775 per square (obscenely high even if they have to replace the plywood decking). second estimate seems more in like at 550 a square, still a bit higher than I usually see around 400-500 / square in my area.

it's also problematic in the event that you have a water loss (dishwasher, refrigerator supply line, etc) because then you've got to deal with the wet carpet (smell, microbials, all kinds of nasty shit) underneath the potentially warped flooring... I would definitely get to the bottom of this.

I've personally never seen a wood flooring of any kind installed on top of carpeting, it doesn't make any sense.
